Collector, seller & lover of all things antique/vintage but especially Welsh blankets & Welsh tapestry coats, purses, bags etc. I also commission limited edition Welsh blankets from a small West Wales mill. Same coat - different colours! So often this is how it goes. In 18 years of trading in Welsh wool I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've found an Anna Davies, Betws-y-coed, North Wales designed tapestry coat in this large spot design.

I showed you the RED then the following day I went to a house that my friend was clearing in Penarth & in the wardrobe looking at me was the TEAL!!! Both will be on the stall Tuesday.

Super excited to be back open at Abergavenny Market tomorrow for Saturday's General Market. I've been putting some new finds ready to bring with me & my absolute favourite has got to be this fabulous vintage Welsh wool tapestry coat in red, navy & White spots/polka dots by Anna Davies of Betws-y-coed. I've got waistcoats too plus I've been making some cushions from my stash of Welsh blanket fabric.

I'm off to Penarth this afternoon to meet a good friend who's doing a house clearance & he says there's a load of Welsh coats! I wonder what I'll find?! See you tomorrow. Tracey ❤️

I do love a Tuesday in Abergavenny Market - very happy memories of coming here with my late Grandmother on the bus from Cwmbran from the age of about 4! I'm 58 now! Trying to decide which of these Rock Mill Welsh blankets is my favourite? The turquoise, grey & lime green to match my coat? Or the bright pink to match my scarf? You know what I'm like for a bit of colour coordination! What do you think? Let me know which one in the comments?

Best moment of the day at Saturday's market in Abergavenny was when a little boy shouted 'look Mummy that lady looks just like a Christmas tree' !!!

New delivery of Welsh tapestry blankets from Rock Woollen Mill. As fast as I was putting them out they were selling! I've just updated my website with the colours we've still got. As ever I'll pop a link in the comments/story. Perfect Xmas gifts but be quick!

What a lovely time I had yesterday evening at our monthly Night Market in Abergavenny. Thanks to everyone who popped in.

I didn't get chance to add any pics of this beautiful vintage Welsh wool tapestry blanket that I collected from Carmarthenshire while I was away. Stunning pink, green, white with a pop of yellow. Traditional Caernarfonshire portcullis design. Huge King/Super King size. Lovely condition. Woven by Elfed Woollen Mill with original label. What a lovely few days in Pembrokeshire! Couple of nights at the caravan & some great walks with my partner then across to Newport, Pembs to celebrate with my good friend Sandra McCarthy for her 70th! Great stop over for the night at The Golden Lion Newport & lovely birthday meal at Llys Meddyg Resturant - Newport. Picked up some lovely vintage Welsh tapestry blankets on the way home near Carmarthen so watch out for those! Perfect!

I'm back to it now though & getting ready for this evening's NIGHT MARKET at Abergavenny Market which is always a lovely event. Shop will be open 5pm til 9pm. Then I'll be back in on SATURDAY 9am til 4pm.

Doing lots of Christmas shopping in the Artisan Craft Market before opening the shop this morning & I'm probably going to spend more money than I take!!!

Lovely event in Abergavenny Market run by the lovely Emma of Artisan Events Wales. So lovely to meet up with makers especially my good friend & customer Jayne of Blodau A***n . She makes amazing silver jewellery & I'm trying to decide on which of her 'Welsh Mountain' necklace collection to buy - shall I go for Sugarloaf, Blorenge, Skirrid or Penyfan? Such a dilemma!

I've bought some gorgeous framed limited edition prints from the super talented local artist Louise Collis - Artist but I can't let on which scenes I bought as it's a surprise! Ssshhhhh ❤️

Crazy day here in Abergavenny for Saturday's Market. Super grateful to you all once again. I've been digging around in my storage units & finding vintage Welsh wool tapestry coats & capes that I'd actually forgotten I had! The teal coat & the monochrome cape are my favourites today. It's been a bit chilly so I'm wrapped up in loads of layers. Welsh wool & colour coordinated of course!

Don't forget I'm open again tomorrow (Sunday) for the Artisan Craft Market. A lovely independent event with some very talented artists & makers. Open 10 til 4.
