Thanks to everyone who visited over the weekend and all the volunteers. What a wonderful weekend with loads of medieval game playing, swords, charcoal making, stories, calligraphy and bookbinding and digging of course. And filming for BBC Alba. Exciting news about our early medieval path - more on that later in the week - I forgot to take photos we were so busy!

When the Ice Goes The River Flows: Mesolithic Deeside introduction

Sheila and I gave an online talk to a community group last week and we thought that we would record it all for you. Now you must remember that we are amateurs (!) so a bit of mumbling and rustling at the beginning and do not ask about what Sheila is doing with her cardigan! Hope you enjoy it. We are hoping to feature other talks over the next few months.

Very windy today at Aden. Video clip of Jan with the plane table shows the trees swaying! Definitely got ‘structures’ but we’ll have to wait for next week to find out more. Snow day tomorrow!
