The Middlefield Mirror is a community magazine that has been developed to offer the residents of Middlefield a real voice in your community. This magazine looks to represent a wide selection of news, views, activities and events that take place in our community and report on the issues that are important to residents of Middlefield and beyond. The magazine is put together by volunteer local reside

Staff from shmuPRESS and shmuDESIGN assists the editorial teams in pulling together the magazine content, designing and getting the magazines to the printer. shmuPRESS also organises the distribution of the magazines in the Middlefield area. We are really keen that people of all ages get involved in the magazine. If you are interested helping to give a voice to your community then you might want to attend one of our editorial meetings, assisting us in gathering articles, news, images and information for future magazines. If you are a budding photographer or creative writer we'd love to hear from you too!. This magazine is for and by the members of our community but it is only with YOUR help that we can make it happen. Alternatively, you may want to let the editorial team know about a story that is important to you, or something you feel is worthy of greater publicity, if so you can contact us on the details below. The shmu Youth Rap Project is for anyone aged 12-16, living in Cu***ngs Park, Middlefield, Northfield, Tillydrone, Seaton, Woodside or Torry who has an interest in rap/hip-hop and wants to develop their lyric-writing, rapping, beat-making & live performance skills.
The course is FREE and open to everyone, regardless of skill level. Our experienced tutors (including local rapper Jackill) will help you create a track from start to finish, then have it recorded and mixed to a professional standard. You’ll also learn about the history of rap and hip-hop along the way!

Where: shmu HQ, Woodside, Aberdeen

When: Tuesday evenings 6-8pm from 5th September- 10th October .

On Tuesday the 9th of May at 10am the newly formed gardening group will be meeting at the Project and heading out in the mini bus to Dobbies Garden Centre.

We will be discussing plans for the Community Garden Project over tea/coffee and picking up some supplies.
