JK's Performance Academy

JK's Performance Academy Drama & Performing Arts classes for ages 3-7 and 8-18 based in Aberdare, South Wales. JK's is an established performing arts academy based in Aberdare.

Opportunities for auditions for film and TV work via our agency JK's Management. JK's offers the following sessions;

Tuesdays or Thursdays
4.30pm-5.15pm: JK's Minis (ages 3-6)
5.15pm-6.00pm: JK's Midis (aged 7-11)
6.00pm-7.30pm: JK's Majors (ages 12-18)


Whether you are looking for a career in the arts or whether you would like to build your self-esteem and confidence, JK's encourage every st

udent to find their confidence and to express their creativity through performing arts. Our classes are led by experienced and qualified tutors with years of professional and teaching experience behind them and all tutors are DBS checked for your peace of mind. Classes are packed full of fun, laughter and imagination to bring out the best in every student. Extra classes will be held for students who want to participate in LAMDA examinations- we are pleased to boast a 100% pass rate. Students wishing to be signed to our management agency to be chosen for film and TV work and auditions have the option to do so- our agency website is www.jks.management

Woweeee!!!! Two absolutely fantastic showcases produced today by the amazingly talented JK’s kids! ⭐️Thank you to all the children for giving their all, the parents for bringing them each week, to our super chaperones Emma P, Jess, Armarni, Emma S and Jasmine who kept the children entertained and full of energy! ⭐️To Matt for the tech, to Cwmaman Arts Centre for hosting us, to Gareth for taking pictures (not the ones here- his are much better than mine!) ⭐️well done to every single student today, you absolutely smashed it! ⭐️Thank you for all our gifts (especially the wine 😉) ⭐️We say a very sad goodbye today to a very special student who is off to uni in September- Eleri LP, we all hope Uni is terrible… just kidding, enjoy every moment and make sure you come and see us- but first- some filming on a new S4C show! ⭐️We hope you ALL have THE BEST Summer break- rest, relax and we will see you again in September ready for rehearsals for our Christmas show! (And we’re finally open to new starters then too!)

We’re ‘rehearsaling’ hard for our end of year showcase which is next week! Huge well done to all the students yesterday for a fantastic rehearsal! They might be noisy but they make up for it in talent! Keep smashing it you lot!! Also I would like to do a shoutout to Ben who was supposed to do a week of work experience with us in July and started in February and hasn’t missed a class since- twice a week! The mini academy absolutely love him, he is a born entertainer and he brings so much energy with him to classes. Thank you for all your hard work Ben- you are so appreciated (as are all our amazing staff obviously- especially the ones who bring me sweets!) ⭐️

Absolute troopers! We skipped the dress rehearsal and just did a normal rehearsal for the ones who could make it in the storm! (To those who couldn’t- totally understandable and your safety is a priority!) So…. we’re going on the stage tomorrow without doing a dress rehearsal because … THE SHOW MUST GO ON!! Cinderella performances tomorrow 12pm and 3pm at Cwmaman Arts Centre! See you all soon!!!
