This program was previously released on the A side of a mixtape of songs I played in my radio-show "Rockomondo" between 1991 and 1994. I simply replaced Jolly Jumpers by Bird In A Bush (both bands from Finland) and brought minor changes to the running order.
The first half of the '90's was a Golden Age for European rock. Internet didn't exist yet – or not much – to standardize local particularities as it happened later, and most of the bands displayed an exciting creativity. British and American influences were at times evident, but most of these bands never sounded like common copycats though. And there were those who followed their own path and invented a music definitely apart from Anglo-Saxon rules. I still listen to these songs with the same pleasure that I had at the time, and I hope you'll like some of them enough to dig further. Enjoy !
