He is involved with video production/Direction/Editing/ and more, Podcast hosting, and personality, not to mention metal detecting, writing, painting, video game design, voice over, music production and so much more. Lance originally comes from Portlan
d, Oregon where he was born, Moved to the Seattle area in 1978, where he spent his formative years. After he moved for a year up to Bellingham, Wa, and also a year in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1989 he joined the U.S. Army where he would slowly change his life for the better and develop a drive and goal in life. He spent the next 15 years in the Service as an Airborne Infantry Man in a mortar platoon. He has spent time deployed to Egypt, Bosnia 2x in Kosovo, Macedonia, Czech Republic and finally in 2003 he jumped into north Iraq with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. It was his time in Kosovo, but mostly in Iraq that Lance developed PTSD, a symptom that affects many people who have lived through traumatic experiences in life. His symptoms were late onset PTSD which did not show up until they began manifesting in 2007, and caused a total mental and emotional breakdown in 2012. Because of this Lance spent much time looking for a hobby that could help him with his problem. Finally he found how therapeutic metal detecting can be, and became highly involved in the hobby. In 2015 lance formed the GDA Facebook group for metal detectors around the world, after witnessing and being dragged into turmoil created by others in the hobby who were attacking others. Lance wanted to create a place that refused a place for strife and feuds to rear their ugly heads, and instead provide a safe haven to share the love of the hobby. Thusly Global Detection Adventures was created.
