Where are we ?

In the Corbières area , 30 kms to the west of Narbonne and around 10 kms from the beautiful village of Lagrasse .

Today Sud Tendances Diffusion are happy to present 3 interesting versions of the emblematic regional grape variety - PICPOUL !
This typical mediterranean variety grown in the Languedoc since at least the 14 th century can be found in the renowned Aop Picpoul de Pinet appellation where the grape accounts for 100 % of its composition.. This Aop is planted in 6 villages ( Castelnau de Guers , Florensac , Mèze, Montagnac , Pinet and Pomérols ) not very far from the Etang de Thau ( famous for its oysters farms ) .
You can also come across some bottles of wines , not bearing the typical Languedoc cross , with the Piquepoul mention and sold as Igp wines as they do not originate from a terroir recognized by the INAO ( french organization in charge of setting out and controlling the regulations for the production of Aop wines ) .

Nowadays , Picpoul is generally synonymous of dry wine ,slightly acidic with a nice floral and fruity expression together with iodine notes . That makes it the perfect companion to oysters and seafood . But you can also enjoy it as a starter or with some asian food too .

Wine Paris 2024 was undoubtedly a great success for many - This was a real opportunity to meet a great deal of our regular customers and to see new faces too . It was clear that apart from the usual courtesy visits , it was clear that buyers were looking for new wines !
As far as we are concerned we have been quite happy with this edition .And we do not regret so far to have made the decision for the first time in ages to skip the next Prowein event in Düsseldorf !

Very interesting file about Terrasses du Larzac in the recent Terre de Vin issue ... List of 50 wines with tasting comments - Apart from the great names of the area , plenty of tips referring to small qualitative producers . Certainly some hidden gems for the rank and file ...and the pros !
