Road tripping with the family.... onwards towards the coast, no trip would be complete without stopping in the Bordeaux region... here is St Emilion, dating from the 9th century and famous for its wine....
There are over 200km of underground tunnels beneath the Wineries, many of them still used for aging wine barrels!
Fun fact - did you know Bordeaux wines are typically a blend... rather than a straight varietal? That's why there usually isn't the "type" of wine written on the bottle!
The road trip continues... this time we stopped at Sarlat-la-Canéda, a village dating from the year 1081 in the Dordogne region.... known for its duck menu (and foie-gras 😭, def not my thing!), summer black truffles (although mine went mouldy before we got home 😬) and walnuts.
