Our property is located minutes away from the village of Rochefort-en-Terre. It is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of Brittany, from the Broceliande countryside to the sandy beaches of the Golfe du Morbihan. Up to half a dozen bikes can be accommodated in a secure garage on the property. The gite, which is an old farmhouse (or longere) is situated in the country with open fields to
one side and forests to the other. A stream forms the northern boundary of the property, which is very large, with fruit trees, nut trees and many others. Accomodation, for up to 9 persons and an infant, comprises of one bedroom containing one double and one single bed, one bedroom containing one double and one bunk bed and one bedroom containing one double bed and a cot; bathroom with wash hand basin and shower over bath; separate W.C; large living room and kitchen combined; electric heating throughout and a wood burner in the living room. A grocery pack for your arrival can be provided on request. We are open all year round and although I prefer to take weekly bookings commencing on Saturdays, it may be possible at times to book mid-week. Prices range from £300 to £400 per week, depending on the season. The gite takes its name, La Pierre Longue, from the menhir which is situated across the road and is believed to be the key stone which leads to Carnac. The living accommodation is all on the ground floor, as is the custom in longeres, the upstairs having been the grain storage for the farm. Bed linen and tea towels are provided free of charge, electricity also. A complimentary basket of wood for the wood burner is also provided, with further supplies at 4 Euros per basket. Apart from the usual kitchen utensils, the following items are also provided for your use;
Washing machine, fridge-freezer, Indesit gas cooker, toaster, cafetiere, microwave, CD player, radio, television, Playstation for which one can borrow games for a 5 Euro returnable deposit.
