Youhou 🥳 HAL celebrates its 2nd birthday! We launched Boom-it in November 2022 and we’d like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for adopting it. We’re delighted to see our ideas come to life and become real tools used on films made all over the world.

Most recently, Ryan Cole, supervising dialogue editor on Deadpool & Wolverine, used it on Deadpool’s ADR to simulate his voice behind his mask. It’s a use of Boom-it we hadn’t thought of when we designed it, but we’re glad to see it being used in unpredictable ways !

See you on 2025 for new inovative and creative tools,

HAL introduces Move-it, the ultimate surround tool. Move-it is a plug-in designed to intuitively manipulate multiple sound sources in any speaker configuration. It’s a familiar-looking yet powerful panner, that’s also a flexible mixer and router.

With support for up to 16 input and output channels, it allows for seamless integration with every speaker arrangement, be it 5.1, 7.1.2, 9.1.6 — or any custom setup — whether you're working on a film, a live show, or an immersive art installation.

Move-it lets you quickly access a wide range of parameters, including Volume, mute, solo, and XYZ coordinates for every sound source and every speaker, as well as spread (source size) and speaker re-injection, pre/post LFE send levels, high pass filters…

Yeaaah ! Boom-it won the Innovation Prize at the César & Techniques 2024 night (the French Academy Award ceremony for the film technical branch).
