Plankton: The Movie, directed by Dave Needham, dives into Plankton’s latest scheme for success (and maybe world domination 😏) as he runs the Chum Bucket with his tech-savvy wife, Karen, and battles Mr. Krabs once again!

We’re thrilled to share that Mikros Bangalore brought 30 minutes of the film to life, under the supervision of Natalia Lasota and Murali Chinnappa, with contributions from Vikram Varma (Animation Director), Jacques Daigle (Animation Consultant), and Rav Grewal (Layout Supervisor) from our Montreal studio.

Plankton: The Movie, réalisé par Dave Needham, suit Plankton dans sa quête du succès (ou de la domination mondiale 😏) alors qu'il gère le Chum Bucket avec sa femme ultra-connectée, Karen, et affronte encore une fois Mr. Krabs !

✨ Looking back at the beginning of this week at the VES Awards 2025 ceremony!

Even though we didn’t take home the award, we’re incredibly proud of our nominees Guillaume Arantes, Adrien Montero, Anne-Claire Leroux & Gaspard Roche, and of the entire Mikros Animation team who brought Vic Diamond from Thelma The Unicorn to life!

The ceremony was an incredible moment 💫 We were honored to compete among some of the biggest names in the industry. Huge thanks to Netflix, Jared Hess, Lynn Wang & Pam Coats for their trust, and congratulations to all the winners and nominees!

The film was honored with Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie and Best in Class, celebrating its strong storytelling and creativity in children’s content.

At Mikros Animation, talented artists have breathed personality and emotion into snakes in films like Sahara, where Ajar and Eva embark on an epic adventure across the desert, meeting all kinds of serpentine characters. And in The Tiger’s Apprentice, the Zodiac Snake plays a key role, proving that even without arms or legs, a snake can be expressive and full of charm.
