C'est quoi Tokyosaï ? 🤔
C'est un événement hybride entre exposition et festival. L'idée est de mettre à l'honneur la culture contemporaine artistique japonaise et le lifestyle de Tokyo.

Qui est derrière le projet ?
Julien Lepretre Sato et Axelle Munier se sont rencontrés au Japon, il y a 13 ans. Ils sont devenus http://xn--associ-gva.es/ du studio de création Sato Creative né en 2018, dans le but de produire de l'image pour des marques et des agences avec des artistes du monde entier. Pour autant, tous deux gardent un adn emprunt à la culture japonaise et asiatique au sens large. A leurs côtés, et pour mener à bien le projet, il y a aussi toute une équipe mixte de francais.es et japonais.es : scénographes, curateurs, producteur et directeur artistique.

Quelle est la démarche ?
En France, la culture japonaise est partout ! Mais l'art contemporain, lui, ne l'est pas. Il y a toute une scène émergente méconnue voire inaccessible. Le festival veut révéler cette facette artistique au grand public.

Un mot sur la curation ?
Tokyosaï propose une sélection d'artistes de différents milieux sous plusieurs angles : l'art plastique, la mode, le design graphique, l’art digital, la photographie, le jeu vidéo et le manga. Tokyosaï portera aussi un projet spécial nommé Spectrum pour une meilleure visibilité des artistes féminines.
