HIT THE ROAD received the André Bazin prize for Best First Film 2022 awarded by Cahiers Du Cinéma

End of year recap #3 La Cinémathèque française was organizing with ARP, la FEMIS, Cannes Film Festival an evening of support and information on the Iranian protests and featured the French Premiere of No Bears. The room showed solidarity to all protestors & the filmmakers in jail ! The evening also included the participation of Sepideh Farsi, Costa Garvas, Chowra Makaremi and Thierry Frémaux.

While Panahi, who is making his seventh appearance in the NYFF Main Slate, could not be in New York to present his feature, lead actor Mina Kavani joined us to provide a personal statement from the filmmaker.
Jafar Panahi's NO BEARS was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the 2022 Venice Film Festival. Reza Heydari & Mina Kavani were representing the director at the ceremony.
