We are pleased to welcome Letizia LE FUR.

Letizia Le fur graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in France in 1998 and first trained as a painter. With the encouragement of artist and teacher Valérie Belin, she soon turned her aesthetic quest to photography.

Her work centers on the depiction of beauty and the representation of a fantasized otherworld. Letizia Le Fur’s attention to color is very particular; like a painter, she mixes colors on her palette, isolates and transforms, corrects, adds, exalts the tones, amplifies them to transcend reality and creates this sensation of unreal world.

Five friends are driving through a desert landscape in their red pickup truck, this is their last trip together. Between anxiety and resignation, uncertainty and contemplation, from one symbol to another, the characters seem to wander in an atmosphere both sublime and enigmatic. In search of signs of a possible outcome, looking for clues, they seek the place where their journey will come to an end.
In the continuity of their previous projects, Pierre and Mathias explore the questioning of generational ruptures between collective strength and individual torments.

Tomoya particularly appreciates matter and the interaction between what is seen and what can be revealed by light. By building a subtle balance between the marvelous and the trivial, Tomoya offers layered art enhanced by a surprising intimacy with his subjects, a reflection of his attachment to the profound nature of things.

He self-published “Rien que la mer” (Nothing but the sea) in July 2020. His book will be republished in September 2021 by Editions Amers.
