Circus Company is an independent French label, founded in 2000 in Paris. With an international audience and repertoire, it is currently run by Mathias Duchemin.

Although it began its activities as part of the "minimal house" scene, its productions soon reached broader horizons, blending house music tones with the heritage of funk, jazz and a touch of experimentation. Inspired by musicians such as Matthew Herbert, Losoul and Mr Oizo, its first EPs were released in 2001, followed in 2003 by a first album by Ark, a French artist whose inventiveness, curiosit

y and eccentricity would provide a lasting influence on the label. In 2006, Dave Aju was the first foreign artist to be signed to Circus Company, followed by My My, Seth Troxler and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts. Artists from Germany or Canada, alongside French artists such as Nôze or dOP, brought a new energy to Circus Company, whose activities soon reached clubs such as the Batofar, the Nouveau Casino, the Rex Club and the international scene. Over the years, the label has broadened its musical palette. Nôze, Les Fils du Calvaire, dOP, Dani Siciliano or Ezéchiel Pailhès, have explored electronic music at the crossroads of pop music and chanson, often with a sense of humour and inventiveness. A dynamics that brought international success to the label in 2011 with Nicolas Jaar's first album, Nôze’s three albums (associating for the first time house music and the French language), and dOP’s fiery live performances. In its twenty years of existence, with a hundred EPs, twenty albums and two sub-labels (Tzar Music and Another), Circus Company has become one of the French independent labels that successfully resisted the stylistic and economic shifts of electronic music, without ever compromising its artistic and aesthetic choices, alongside similar references such as Versatile or Tigersushi.

‘Waltz of the Clocks’ by Nitai Hershkovits & Daniel Dor is OUT NOW

For the second single from their forthcoming album, The Garden Suite, Nitai and Daniel present a choreographed interplay of musical clocks, where melodies emerge as they beat in and out of sync. The result is a glimpse into the innovative, almost alchemical process that defines The Garden Suite.

Very happy to announce the release of The Garden Suite by Nitai Hershkovits & Daniel Dor Music on November 13th 2024.

This is the first collaborative album from producer/keyboardist Nitai Hershkovits and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Daniel Dor. After releasing his latest album on the legendary jazz imprint ECM earlier this year, Nitai teams up with the immensely talented Daniel Dor. After having performed live alongside Avishai Cohen and Rejoicer, this collaboration produced by Nitai Hershkovits marks a new chapter in their musical journey. Inspired by synth pioneer Malcolm Cecil and composers like Benjamin Britten or Frederick Delius, they approached the album as an orchestral work, with the Moog as their main instrument.

Their first single, "Hidden Glow" is now out. With its summery tones and a lush blend of Moog synths and jazz harmonies, this track blurs the lines between jazz, classical, and electronic music, inviting listeners on a genre-defying sonic journey.

Portable aka Alan Abrahams returns with the EP ‘Augmented Dreams - African Ambient Edition’, a following piece to 2023’s homonymous cyberpunk-themed album. By dropping the classical route of a remix EP, Abrahams embarks on an introspective journey across four tracks, reimagining some of his techno-pop anthems through an ambient lens.

“The Pull of Time (African Ambient)” strips down the song to its basic melody. The result is an elegant, cinematic journey as the track turns into a brand new yet somewhat familiar soundscape, filled with complex textures, ethereal melodies and evocative harmonies which proves that you can find a chill out room on every dancefloor.

Portable’s Augmented Dreams is now out ! Alan Abrahams taps into a wellspring of time less emotive songwriting for his ninth album under his Portable alias.

The album title refers to the use of everyday technological advancements to achieve what were once only dreams or visions of past generations, making this an explorative concept album that is equal parts not-too-distant science fiction, and about as topical as it gets. Both the in-depth concept and immaculately-crafted musical content in Portable’s inimitable style are balanced in significance and expressive effect. Expect futurist formed sonics and dream-like tenderness in content led by dulcet-toned vocals all delivered with a super solid production.

Vinyl 2x12’’ LP drops today and is available on Bandcamp and online stores. You can also get it through your favourite record stores.

Digital version includes the song 'Guiding Me' which was previously release as 12’’ and is now available on all platforms.

KAMM - Bird Call (Alland Byallo Remix)

Alland Byallo grew captivated with the world of dance music, began experimenting with basic production and eventually bought his first pair of turntables. While working at Wax Records, LA’s now defunct authority on dance music, Alland’s tastes matured, and a move to San Francisco in 2003 saw Alland’s star rise quickly; while in SF, Alland honed his talents DJ-ing at respected venues stateside and overseas. More recently, a move to Berlin has Alland expanding his horizons and focusing not only on DJing and producing but also, running his own Full Bleed imprint. This time, he chose one original track taken from his KAMM band’s 'Cookie Policies’ LP to rework, adding a high vibe leveled-up flight of “Bird Call”.
