First Bait release of 2025, and second vinyl release, is by german producer Conzi. With releases on labels such as DUPLOC, WobWob! and cutcross alongside a slew of self-released records, Conzi is definitely now marked as a go-to producer within the world of dubstep and 140. The AU2 EP is another knockout record in his arsenal, focusing more on the darker atmospheric side of the sound with two rolling numbers, ‘AU2’ and ‘Drakar’. On the flip side, N:in elevates the textures on ‘AU2’ to create a more abrasive temperament whilst Ambit brings in more ‘roller’ influences.

No Nerve EP by Soa420 - with Einerlei, Ophélie & Parts Project remixes.

Bait is honoured to present Nantes-based DJ and producer Soa420’s debut EP, ‘No Nerve’. Soa uses doom-ambiances and chopped up vocal samples in an overall halftime spirit to entrance the listener into her unique trap, bass and dub-infused landscapes. Parts Project’s remix is undeniably one for the club: a pounding banger of an interpretation of ‘No Nerve’. Ophélie brings her experimental broken and textured take to ‘There’s Fire Inside You’, while Einerlei’s version breathes trance and dubby hypnosis.

Whilst Andrae's 'Lasca' is a cold and elegant interpretation of technoïd- dubstep, breathing minimal darkness, catching a racing pace after the second drop, Chewlie's 'Denial' leans more towards 'original' dubstep, almost flirting with deconstructed club with it's wonky and sort of warm character.
