Somewhere between Mickaël Nyman (The Piano Lesson) and Mica Levi (Under The Skin), the violinist turned multi-instrumentalist Carla Pallone (Vacarme , Mansfield.TYA ) knows how to write atmospheres, create landscapes and draw lines of fiction. Her classical training and her taste for ancient music have nourished her path as a composer, to open the spectrum of her music to the widest possible audience.
This soundtrack is the one Carla Pallone composed for the short film “Midnight Skin” by Greek director Manolis Mavris and screened at La Semaine De La Critique in Cannes, 2023

"Greenland Shark" is the first excerpt from "//", the third album by Binidu, a trio bringing together Vincent Dupas (My Name Is Nobody, ...), Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy and Jérôme Vassereau (Pneu, ...). A song that evokes digital memory erasing that of humans, days fragmented by the obligation to always go as quickly as possible while the Greenland shark knows well that we must not accelerate. We find a voice which sails above guitars which intermingle, and the modular synthesizers have replaced the drums. An acoustic pop song that plunges into the electronic limbo of the Arctic Ocean...

So delighted we are to welcome Carla Pallone back to our catalog as a solo artist with the soundtrack she composed for the short film “Midnight Skin” by Greek director Manolis Mavris.

Somewhere between Mickaël Nyman (The Piano Lesson) and Mica Levi (Under The Skin), the violinist turned multi-instrumentalist Carla Pallone ( Vacarme , Mansfield.TYA) knows how to write atmospheres, create landscapes and draw lines of fiction. Her classical training and her taste for ancient music have nourished her path as a composer, to open the spectrum of her music to the widest possible audience.
With a strong appreciation for the strings, she explores a sensitive sound universe, which unfolds between organic and analog materials. Acute sense of melody, neoclassicism, minimalism... repetitive pieces of music rub shoulders with ritornellos with great joy. And if the violin is king, synthesizers also find their proper place as disturbing basses or melodic sweeps.

🎊 Dhidalah (JP, tockyo / psyche - stoner)
Dhidalah trio psyche rock formé en 2013 est une des figures de l'underground tokyoïte. Le groupe perfom sous forme de set improvisé inspiré de la musique stoner, doom allant au kraut rock. Le nom du groupe est tiré d'une légende japonaise faisant référence aux créateurs des montagnes, des lacs et des îles. Leur nouvel album "Sensoria" est une invitation à réfléchir sur "l'espace", a ce sujet le groupe commente "(..)Comment est votre espace ? Au milieu de la nuit, ou en plein jour, dans la plus petite des pièces, dans l'immensité de la forêt, l'écoute de Sensoria vous ouvrira à une nouvelle sensation d'espace."

🎊 Spelterini (FR, Nantes / transe noïse répétitive)
Les deux tiers de Papier tigre et la moitié de feu Chausse trappe se sont rassemblés sous le nom de Spelterini (de Maria Spelterini, funambule intrépide du XIXème siècle) et jouent une musique à son image, "sur le fil".
En concert, le groupe joue des morceaux long format, enchaînés comme des traversées haletantes et sans filet, à base de rythme, de drone et de feedback.
