Soaring debuted as a solo project when it didn't even had a name. Weaving together heavy shoegaze guitars, post-metal rhythms, black metal shrieking and dreamy vocals, Soaring invites listeners to lose themselves in waves of cascading sounds and emotions.
Questioning reality is at the core of Soaring, whether the stars care about you or not, the universe will still be spiraling toward a determined unknown.

Soaring a fait ses débuts en tant que projet solo alors qu'il n'avait même pas de nom. Mêlant guitares shoegaze lourdes, rythmes post-métal, cris de black metal et voix rêveuses, Soaring invite les auditeurs à se perdre dans des vagues de sons et d'émotions en cascade.
La remise en question de la réalité est au cœur de Soaring, que les étoiles se soucient de vous ou non, l'univers continuera à tourner en spirale vers un inconnu déterminé.

📣 We’re happy to announce that we will offer a cassette release to “It Turns Pale”, the first album of Cosse.

We loved the album when it was released and now we’re honored to offer it a cassette version. This cassette will be available on September 6th and will be available in two versions.

📣 Welcome to the Stellar Frequencies’ family Nava Calma !

Nava Calma was born out of a desire for symbiosis. For connection. From the very beginning as a solo project of a young musician looking for meaning, its intent was to connect the sonic dots of its creator’s identity to form something that’s more than the sum of its parts.

Now acting as a full band the four-piece from Berlin, Germany channel their innermost connection to the world around them through weeping melodies perched on top of shoegazey pads and soundscapes which are then delivered with an explosive and manic urgency and relentless drums. Their sound nests within the realms of Post-Rock, Shoegaze, Post-Metal and the ever so ambiguous term “dreamo”, drawing from artists like Holy Fawn, Emma Ruth Rundle or Koi No Yokan-era Deftones.

Somewhere between a dirge and a eulogy, Janusz winds his way through as quiet a corner of grief as possible and chronicles his final encounter with his father figure before their premature death. The longest song of the album is rich with pedal steel and mellotron, featuring Western Vinyl’s acclaimed artist Logan Farmer singing with him, Crowland steals its way into building a crescendo that never comes and resolves itself with dissatisfaction at its core, much like real death.

Quarter Light, le deuxième single extrait de Please Leave Quietly, est le morceau le plus accrocheur qu'on puisse attendre de Janusz. Une valse de trois minutes au Rhodes pour l'attirance sans surprise mais magnétique du su***de à une cadence ironique et pleine d'autodérision. Janusz chante aux côtés de sa partenaire une chanson qui évoque les Silver Jews des mauvais jours, en incorporant un humour inconfortablement noir pour un peu de légèreté.

Nous ouvrons également les précommandes ! 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗹𝘆 sera disponible en vinyle dans deux magnifiques variantes. Il s’agit de vinyles 180gr pressés par Dunkpressing. “Quarter Light” is out today! This is the second single from the first album by Olin Janusz.

Quarter Light, the second single from Please Leave Quietly is the closest Janusz comes to being catchy. A three minute Rhodes piano waltz for the undramatic but magnetic pull of su***de with a wry, self-deprecating cadence. Janusz sings alongside his partner in a song that feels more like Silver Jews on a bad day than anything else, blending in an uncomfortably dark humour to grant some required levity.

We are also opening pre-orders! 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗹𝘆 will be available on vinyl in two gorgeous variants. These are 180gr vinyls pressed by Dunkpressing. The Throat est le premier single extrait de Please Leave Quietly. Aussi dense en termes de thématique que de son, la première moitié fait office de ballade à la maladie mentale, un pedal steel tortueux sur les couplets et des cordes épanouies sur les refrains. La deuxième partie révèle une instrumentalisation tentaculaire qui reflète le sentiment en se passant de mots. Le clip, réalisé par Joan Sabatier, rappelle Les Communiants de Bergman et peut être perçu comme une échappée, aussi bien qu'un retour ou une résignation.

The Throat is the first single off Please Leave Quietly. As dense thematically as it is sonically, the first half acts as a ballad to mental illness at quarter speed, pedal steel winding through verses and strings blooming in choruses. The second half unravels to reveal a sprawling instrumental to mirror the sentiment without words. The video, shot by filmmaker Joan Sabatier harkens back to Bergman’s Winter Light and can be perceived as anything from an escape, a return or resignation.

📣 Bienvenue dans la Stellar Frequencies family Olin Janusz!

Janusz est un musicien autodidacte qui opère dans l'alt-country, le slowcore et la chamber folk. Influencé par la lutte primordiale de son éducation de classe ouvrière, Janusz imagine ses chansons comme une forme de compagnie pour ceux qui sont fatigués. Son processus créatif ressemble à la formation d'une perle dans un noyau abrasif, transformant les éléments perturbateurs en quelque chose de précieux.

Nous avions déjà collaboré pour une réédition de son album “Off Black” sorti sous le nom de Bare Wire Son. Aujourd’hui nous sommes très heureux de démarrer ce voyage avec lui sous sous son nom propre. On a hâte de partager avec vous ce bel album.

Le premier single sera disponible le 26 janvier accompagné d’un clip.

📣 Welcome to the Stellar Frequencies’ family Olin Janusz!

Janusz operates in the realm of slowcore, alt-country and chamber folk. Informed equally by his working class roots and his own poor decisions, Janusz crafts songs as a form of companionship for the weary. His process mirrors forming a pearl from an abrasive core, transforming the disruptive into something valuable.

We’ve collaborated on a reissue of his album “Off Black” as Bare Wire Son, but today we’re more than happy to begin this new journey with him under his own name. Looking forward to sharing with you this beautiful album.

Happy new year everyone!

2023 was super busy – we released 5 albums, 1 EP, 4 live sessions and captured our first live gig. We would like to thank you for your support and interest in Stellar Frequencies artists and bands! And of course thank you to all our talented artists for trusting us.

We are really looking forward to 2024 which should also be a fantastic year for Stellar Frequencies. Amazing records are in the pipes! We'll be releasing fewer records than the previous years in order to provide high-quality additions to the current roster.

We are also working on the upcoming live sessions, as usual amazing bands will be featured and our first international band will part of this new wave of sessions.

If you want to support us, the best way to do so is buying records on our webshop! All the money raised directly finances upcoming records and it's our only way to continue to exist and spread good music. Take care everyone and stay tuned, new music is coming really soon!

It was a real pleasure working with artists and other labels. The year was full of experiences, we contributed to the release of 11 EPs & albums. We released our first live session and two more are already in the pipes. We are also very happy to collaborate with our friend Mathieu from Cellar Door, Pedals and Stuff to make an incredible effect pedal! And let’s not forget our contribution to the POST. Lyon Stream Fest by our friends POST. LYON! We never made it official but the talented Raphaël Léger from 22 Recordings has joined the team as a permanent member of SF during this year and we are so glad to have him with us. He’s acting as a sound tech on the sessions and he’s doing a lot more besides! Huge big up also to Raphaël Ripoll M-weowa who collaborated with us on the first three sessions as a photographer. We hope that we can put forward many new projects in 2022 and experiment with new things.
