Inspired by archival photographs and her own memories, Duoduo Huang created "Chinese New Year Memory" a vivid artwork symbolizing the festive spirit of Lunar New Year. Red velvet, adorned with subtle imprints, evokes the warmth of traditional celebrations, blending cultural heritage with contemporary artistry.

Maison Margiela Fragrances X Duoduo Huang I Artist’s Vision

In this collaboration, Duoduo Huang explores the imprint of memories on fabric, employing experimental techniques of engraving and printing on velvet. This material, both soft and dense, is deconstructed and meticulously altered to reveal hidden images, much like a palimpsest of memories - fading, resurfacing, and reshaping over time.
Duoduo Huang is a Chinese artist based in London who explores memory and intimacy through innovative installations that combine photography, textiles, and technology. A graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China and the Royal College of Art in London, she has developed a unique artistic language where fabric becomes a medium for storytelling and emotional resonance.

This unique project explores the intricate connection between scent, memory, and human connection through “Memories imprinted” a refined installation blending haute perfumery with contemporary art.

✨Hennessy X Shuting Qiu – CNY25 I The Art piece✨
The collection is complemented by a bespoke designed by Qiu. The art piece presents a precious play on bold color, vibrant motifs and relief, at once evoking the traditional Chinese arts of brocade and embroidery and the texture of snakeskin as it is shed and renewed.
This innovative art piece made for Hennessy features a dual allegory of transformation and rebirth as the snake sheds its old skin and emerges into an opulent, fantastical landscape.
Recalling the grace of the Charente River, the serpent glides from old to new, its glistening red and gold body emerging into a new landscape.
Embroidered flower petals appear in relief, symbolizing craft, opulence, and the promise of spring.

Shuting Qiu has created three distinct artistic sketches, reflecting the character of Hennessy ’s different cognac blends to dress Hennessy carafes.
For VSOP, she blends four self-designed patterns with abstract snake motifs to symbolize youth and energy.
The bold X.O. features rich red, gold, and blue tones with diamond shapes and a dynamic snake design symbolizing renewal.
For Paradis, she transforms the carafe into an elegant red masterpiece with sculptural snake details and a soft leather collar, celebrating luxury and the rebirth of spring.

✨Hennessy X Shuting Qiu – CNY25 I Artist’s vision✨
Selected by SOMEXING ART AGENCY, Shuting Qiu, who is originally from Hangzhou and now based in Shanghai has drawn inspiration from her cultural heritage. Looking to the jacquard fabric, Chinese brocade and embroidery prints, Qiu has reimagined the symbolic floral motifs and abstract snake scale patterns to adorn Hennessy 's iconic VSOP, X.O and Paradis cognac carafes. With base colours of red, each bottle tells a unique story, and as a nod to Hennessy’s heritage, the snake’s movements through the patterns evokes the Charente River in Cognac.
