Jardin Acoustique is a guest house and estate, with music room and recording facilities in South West France, run by Fred Ruddick & Greta Svabo Bech.

Found in the heart of the Bordeaux countryside, a holistic retreat for artists. A place to write, play, record and relax. Allowing our environment, and state of mind, to be foremost influences in our creative output. Passing through the property gates into the 5000m2 estate, part dating back to the late 18th century, lie two homes, music room, 3 dining terraces and swimming pool. The surrounding g

ardens are tranquil and peaceful. The 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom guest house sits at the heart of the property, along the cypress lined drive way. The home is filled with old-French charm, high-beamed ceilings, Smeg oven, cooker and fridge freezer. A comfortable self catering home, chefs and other local food services available on request. Restaurants, bakers, butchers, farm shops and supermarkets all nearby. The peaceful atmosphere around the property offer physical and mental relaxation. Collaboration in communal spaces, or quiet corners for introspection too. Calm, focused and inspired. A creative Shangri-La. Greta is a singer, writer, artist, releasing music with Deadmau5, Ludovico Einaudi, The Bloody Beetroots, amongst her own records. Her song “Raise your Weapon” with Deadmau5 received a Grammy nomination for Dance Record. Her songs have been streamed 100s of millions of times, and as a writer been released by artists including Cher. She enjoys writing with other Artists for their own work as well as creating as a collaborator. Fred began musical life as a cathedral chorister and classical violinist. A music graduate from LIPA, and an experienced studio engineer, working in production, tracking, mixing, mastering. In addition to producing G! Festival for 5 years, and establishing a national office of music export for the Faroe Islands. Now based in the wonderful climate of Nouvelle Aquitaine, the property is situated 5 minutes drive from the centre of Duras, with its 12th century Chateau, and weekly markets. A gastronomic region, excellent food, and Michelin starred dining throughout the area, La Tour de Vents in Monbazillac, or the charming Au Four de la Rive on the banks of the Dordogne. Lunches are long, the food excellent, and the world class wine produced on the doorstep. Visit Saint Émilion, Bergerac, Monbazillac, Eymet and Port Sainte Foy. Wine tasting at the surrounding Chateaux, kayaking down the Dordogne river, the area offers a variety of activities for all. We look forward to welcoming you to Jardin.
