Murrays's first signings were on his Off The Track Records label, and include The Pogues, The Mint Juleps, Dr Feelgood, Apple Mosaic, Zero de Conduite, Les Negresses Vertes, UBIK, Dee Nasty, Elmer Food Beat.... He also released the legendary "John Peel Sessions" from the BBC, and the original recordings of Curtis Mayfield, including the mythical album Superfly. Murray was voted "Independent Produc
er of the Year" by the French media at the MIDEM in Cannes. He also re-launched the Nord Sud label for Barclay Universal, where he signed amongst others Zebda , Sons of The Desert, Helios Mortis... In 1995 he created Murrayfield Music, with first signing Silmarils, then Dolly, Teaspoon, Dun Leia and Garry Christian (The Christians). At this time he also managed some of Europe's most prestigious recording facilities such as the world famous Studio du Manoir near Biarritz in the south west of France and the luxurious Capri Digital Studio on the beautiful Isle of Capri in the south of Italy. He was also CEO for GRANDLINK NETWORK & MEDIA, a Luxembourg based technology company where he developed an innovative b2b system using satellite to deliver new musical releases from the record companies in broadcast quality files direclty to TV and radio. Passionate about all things audio, Murray set up La Source Mastering in 1997 with top enginner Jean-Pierre Chalbos. La Source is Frances' top mastering facility, with a string of n°1 selling albums already in 2014, including La Fouine, Shaka Ponk, Indila....
After Fickle in 2004, Murray signed the teenage band The Dodoz from Toulouse in 2007.The band gigged around Europe and enjoyed major festivals including the magical Roman Ampitheatre in Nimes with Franz Ferdinand. After 2 highly acclaimed and successful albums the band split early 2014. Murray's latest signing is unique soul / rap singer Rachel Claudio from Australia, who has just released a mini album in March 2014. Murrayfield Music est une société de Production / Management et d'Edition située à Paris et dirigée par le producteur et manager Ecossais indépendant, Peter Murray. Ses première signatures virent le jour sous son premier label " Off The Track " parmi elles: The Pogues, The Mint Juleps, Dr Feelgood, Apple Mosaic, Zero de Conduite, Les Negresses Vertes, UBIK, Dee Nasty, Elmer Food Beat.... Il a aussi signé les legendaires "John Peel Sessions" de la BBC, et les enregistrements originaux de Curtis Mayfield, y compris l'album mythique Superfly. Murray a été élu "Producteur Indépendant de l'Année" par les médias au MIDEM à Cannes. Enfin, Peter Murray est aussi celui qui a lancé GRANDLINK NETWORK & MEDIA, une entreprise luxembourgeoise ou il a créé un système b2b professionnel d'envoi des nouveautés musicales des maisons de disques en qualité broadcast directement aux stations de TV et radio. Toujours passionné par l'audio, Murray a crée en 1997 La Source Mastering avec top ingénieur Jean-Pierre Chalbos. La Source est aujourd'hui le n°1 studio de mastering en france. Avril 2014, La Source a masterisé nombreux albums qui ont déjà atteint le sommet des charts (La Fouine, Shaka Ponk, Indila....).
