What is the CoBS?
Recognising the enormous role that businesses can play in helping solve large-scale problems, seven of the world’s leading business schools have come together to forge a unique international partnership: The Council on Business & Society.
The seven schools – ESSEC Business School (France-Singapore-Morocco), FGV-EAESP (Brazil), School of Management Fudan University (China), Keio Business School (Japan), Trinity Business School (Ireland), IE Business School (Spain) and Warwick Business School (UK) – endeavour to implement a multicultural, multi-school perspective to study the critical issues facing business and society, bring faculty and students together in projects and exchanges, organise international forums and develop and disseminate knowledge and educational materials designed to foster continued debate on critical global issues and train tomorrow's responsible leaders.
The Council on Business & Society convenes a biennial forum that combines the expertise of faculty members from each of the partner schools with that of representatives of business, government, and non-governmental organisations from around the world. The multi-faceted, multi-cultural events introduce a new, collective voice to the global conversation — leading to new insights and unique initiatives.
