What a great way to end our 4 country tour (US, UK, Andorra & France) of Preserving a Legacy: In The Footsteps of Bud Owens. Over 100 people turned up in the village of La Coulonche where Bud Owens bailed out on 4 July 1943 to watch the French version of the documentary. Thank you so much to the the mayor, deputy mayor and all the wonderful people who helped set up the event. A special thank you to Colleen Brennan and Hayley Hulbert (niece and great niece of Bud Owens) for their visit all the way from Pittsburgh!

We are very happy to announce we have completed the final phase of the Bud Owens documentary project and after premiers in the US, UK and Andorra we will premier the French subtitled version at the Village Hall in La Coulonche on Veterans Day, 11 November 2018,at 3PM. Nous sommes très heureux de vous annoncer qu'après des premières aux Etats-Unis, au Royaume-Uni et en Andorre le dernier chapitre de notre projet sera écrit à la salle des fêtes de La Coulonche pour la première de la version française du documentaire sur Bud Owens le dimanche 11 novembre 2018 à 15h. 4 July 1943, Bud Owens' final mission which cost the lives of 2/Lt. George C. Williams, T/Sgt. Albert G. Wackermann and S/Sgt. Henry W. Bauscher. Lest we forget.

Last weekend producers Geert Van den Bogaert and Sean Claxton and documentary star Louis Hatet took a trip over to Essex to visit the airfield and museum at Ridgewell where Bud Owens was stationed in 1943 and attend the UK premier of "Preserving A Legacy: In The Footsteps Of Bud Owens". Before the film showing, the opportunity was taken to visit the Ridgewell Commemorative Museum and have a ride around the perimeter of the airfield, stopping at the monument commemorating those who died in the accident on 23rd June 1944 during which Bud Owens earned the Soldier's Medal. In the afternoon the documentary was shown in the Empire Theatre, Halstead. A huge thank you to the folks at Ridgewell and those who run the theatre for all their organisation and hospitality!

We are very excited to anounce the UK premier of "Preserving a Legacy: In the Footsteps of Bud Owens" next Saturday 24 June at the Empire Theater in Halstead! The event will also mark the 74th anniversary of Bud Owens' Soldiers Medal action at the nearby Ridgewell Air Force Base. A number of documentary team members will attend the event including Executive Producer Geert Van den Bogaert, assistant producer Sean Claxton, Pyrenees Mountain Guide Paul Williams, Louis Hatet, great grandson of resistant André Rougeyron and Colleen Brennan, niece of Francis "Bud" Owens for a debate following the documentary screening. We would like to thank the folks at the Ridgewell Airfield Commemorative Association Museum and in particular Paul Bingley for all his hard work to make this happen and the Empire Theater in Halstead for their help and support. Doors open at 5PM. Hope to see you there!

Last 6 May 2017, the Velle Cases Foundation in La Massana, Andorra organized a luncheon and documentary screening of "Preserving A Legacy: In the Footsteps of Bud Owens" followed by a debate about the role of Andorra in WWII. The event was a great success and we would like to thank Claude Benet and the people of La Massana for sharing the Bud Owens story! Stay tuned for more on our upcoming UK premiere on 24 June 2017!
