I’ve always wanted to visit Cleveland, maybe because of Jarmush’s Stranger Than Paradise (when Eddie, Willie and Eva go from New York to Cleveland to visit Eva’s Hungarian aunt), or probably because of the Cavs and Lebron James and surely because of Bone Thugs n Harmony. I was not disappointed: from an industry in decline to financial, health and insurance services, the city ​​has reinvented itself. Downtown is home to beautiful (empty) late 19th century indoor malls, a splendid public library, and the best candy store we’ve ever seen. And a few minutes from the city center, there are very nice beaches. We didn’t have time to do the Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame but we will come back when the kids are older with a greater rock culture.

NIAGARA FALLS, NY
The falls haven’t changed since 1991 (when I first visited them). The only difference is that the Maid of the Mist is now powered by an electric motor instead of a diesel engine. The feeling approaching Horseshoe Falls is better than the best water park slide. 2.8 million liters of water per second. You can feel the attraction. Rochester, NY
my family hometown where I spent all my summer vacations when I was a kid. The city suffered a serious depression for the last 30 years or so but has made a great comeback. It was nice to visit the family I hadn’t seen in a while.

We visited the amazing Strong National Museum of Play which has the largest toy collection in the world. After a few hours of stolling around Sesame Street, the Berenstain Bears, and every doll, game and action figure you can imagine, we realized there was a second floor (mostly dedicated to video games) right before closing time...

We also went swimming in Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes, supported the Red Wings, ate a lot of ice creams at Pittsford Farms and went crate digging down at Record Archive, one of my favorite record stores, no less.

It's been a long time since I posted but I'd like to share an interview I did for Phonographe Corp that turned into a very cool article about one of my favorite music genres, Detroit ghettotech.

May this article be a harbinger of all the music I need to release. I'm hoping for a deluge of EPs, mixtapes and albums this year.

PARIS-BRUSSELS CONNECTION 💪

The bars and terraces have just reopened and Too Smooth Christ drops the soundtrack of your summer. It opens with melancholic synth chords and syncopated percussions characteristic of TSC's sound. Then a funky bassline jumps in, along with epic choirs and the track becomes a summer hit ☀️

We are very honored that Lawrence Le Doux remixed the track. In its "Grand Bleu" version, listen to the Chicago juke toms, the sound of bubbles rising to the surface and the song of whales. Follow him to the abyssal depths 🌊
