Our last day in Chateau Gioux 🥲. So empty and quiet after seven weeks of hard graft emptying , moving 12 trailer loads to the new house , selling , donating and tipping . It’s been a huge job for just the two of us but it’s done . Tomorrow we sign her over and we begin a new chapter . Thanks Chateau Gioux for the memories ❤️❤️ We will be changing the page name from tomorrow for the next adventure!

Well we are back - to a very dirty cold Château 😔Lots of sorting , clearing and selling to do over the next few weeks - we will move some things to the new house , sell some to the new owners and hopefully return some precious items ( to us ) to the Uk .
Mixed feelings to be sorting things to leave this dream home but trying to remain positive about the next chapter .
We will be renaming our fb account over the next few weeks, but hope you’ll carry on following us for updates on the Reno of the new property - a Village house with 5 bedrooms .Originally 2 cottages , in one of the prettiest Villages in France - Angles sur L’Anglin
- near Poitiers .
Onwards and Upwards but still hanging on to the French Dream !

So the first part of the sale of our beautiful French Chateau has been completed and we await the final completion in late Spring . It’s been a fabulous 5 year journey with many ups and downs and an adventure I could never have imagined undertaking . Although we are sad it’s coming to an end , new adventures await us . One thing I’ve learned is never say no to an opportunity- as someone once said you will only regret the things you didn’t do ……. Gioux - always a piece of you in my heart ❤️
