VACANCY: OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

We are looking for an experienced Operations Assistant to join our growing trucking and cartage business. In this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating truck delegation, managing our team of drivers, and maintaining control over our shipping containers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assign trucks and drivers to incoming orders and shipments
- Oversee the daily operations and schedules of our driving team
- Monitor the location and status of our shipping containers
- Communicate with customers on order status and delivery timelines
- Maintain detailed records and reporting on all operational activities
- Support the logistics team with any other operational tasks as needed

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar operations or logistics role
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with transportation management software and systems (VBS)
- Valid driver's license
