Mere Kasa was born on the 13th of February, 1936 and passed on in the hospital on Wednesday 17th at the age of 87.

Pu Mere was the second born child of Josefa Lutumailagi and Mele Biu amd hailed from Tokalau, Kabara belonging to the Tokatoka Tabonivo.
Mataqali Vuanitavola, Yavusa Nukuleka in the Yasana ko Lau.
Her traditional cavuti Nukuleka vua na Turaga na Tui Kabara.

She shared maternal links to the Tokatoka Vunicau, Mataqali Vuanitavola from Tokalau, Kabara

She was married to Sulinicevuga Betani Salusalu from Levuka, Lakeba, Lau.

They have 5 children: Jesipeli Tauga Qaqanitulevu, Mele Biu Guivalu, Pen*soni Tuiova, Samuela Matanababa and Uate Caqeua, 19 grand children and 12 great grandchildren.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and respect that will inspire us.

The many people present at the Funeral of the late Mrs Ateca Yabaki Galodamu was an indication of her impact on people’s lives and the love she has for God, her family and her church. May her legacy live on in her family and friends.
