Thinking Heidi will be happy or super excited to see animal in the zoo, NOPE!! Tantrum and being difficult. Explore big area at her age is not easy. Not only her but all of us exhausted. Quickly fix the situation with decision to leave this place without see/visit all the animal.

We should just wait a bit untill she is in the age that could appreciate this thing, especially when the ticket is not cheap. Well, at least we tried, now we knew 😉

Small beautiful place in the Lake Peipsi. There are cafes, restaurants, and also big grocery stores nearby. The main landmark is the harbour that offers you some activities, relax in the cafe with cheap local menu, picnic in the beach, swim, or do water sports. Heidi herself has enjoy the freedom at the outdoor playground, run, and play with sand.

As tourist, we see the environment is safe and peaceful, which is what we're looking for our holiday. People around us were speak Russian. There are 2 churches, Orthodox and Lutheran, so from that we assumed locals here are also Russian ppl. Many buildings and houses are old, footage of Soviet era.

Wake up in Lake Peipsi

We stay few days in a nice cabin next to Lake Peipsi, one of summer holiday dream comes true.

Lake Peipsi is the biggest lake in Estonia and become a border of Estonia and Russia. We are in Estonia ofc but the other side of the lake is Russia. The wind, the sand, the swim, feels like you're in the ocean.

One of the most known "Ghost Town" in Estonia, as same as how urban explorer content creator pop up this town to their content.

But we saw differences, that there are many civilian living in this town. From the old house renovate to be summer house with the nice garden, to the totally new house built, blending in with some abandon/broken building. There is even outdoor play ground and fitness which is clearly told this town is alive 😉

Can't show house that have ppl live in there, ofc because it's rude or maybe illegal since it's someone's property.

So then.. Viivikonna is a small peaceful place not a ghost town anymore.

Ke pasar tradisional begini memang jarang2 ya, cuma setahun sekali tapi puji Tuhan ada papa2 yang telaten ngejar anak.. Anak yang aktif dan gak pemalu, menolak semua tawaran jajanan, bahkan makan minum gak mau, sibuk lari dan bersosialisasi.. nyapa "hai" ke semua oma2 yang dia samperin, rampas balon anak lain, dan masuk ke tempat jualan orang pegang mainan yang dia ga ngerti kalo itu dijual. Mama papa bisa nyantai pas Mummu (Oma bule) datang, ada yang gantian ngejar Heidi.
