Huh! Sain juuri korvanappiin tiedon että meikän studiolla tänä vuonna tuottama ja miksaama & masteroima biisi pääsee Lontoolaiselle radioasemalle soittoon 15.12 eteenpäin. Eikä oo ihan mikään pikkuasema kyseessä "Resonance 104.4 FM is a London based non-profit community radio station specialising in the arts run by the London Musicians' Collective (LMC). The station is staffed by four permanent staff members, including programme controller Ed Baxter and over 300 volunteer technical and production staff." Niinhän sitä sanotaan että aikaansa kutakin. Sain tietää vuoden alussa että mahdollisesti vanha Hattutehdas jossa asuntoni sekä ScumREC. -studioni sijaitsee puretaan joten oli aika ruveta etsimään uutta vaihtoehtoa. Nyt tosiaan homma on 100% varman että rakennus puretaan ja kamat pitää roudata pihalle 2024 loppuun mennessä. Pitkällisen etsinnän jälkeen en ole vieläkään löytänyt sopivaa tilaa jonne pistäisin studioni pystyyn. Samalla tässä olen kuumeisesti etsinyt myös ihan pelkkää asuntoa koska en haluaisi kodittomaksikaan jäädä. Nyt sitten löysin vaihtoehdon joka on tästä välistä. Keskustasta löytyi mukava huoneisto jossa on mahdollista jatkaa sentään jonkun tasoista ScumREC. toimintaa koska huoneisto sijaitsee baarin/yökerhon yläkerrassa sekä rapussa ei ole ilmeisesti kuin yksi asianajotoimisto ja joku toimisto. Myös kun vuokranhakuilmoituksessa mainitsin ästä mun tarpeesta se kävi vuokranantajalle. Tavallisessa kerrostaloasunnossa olisi taatusti ensimmäisen kuukauden jälkeen heippalaput luukussa musiikintuotantohommien myötä. :D Eli studion toiminta ei lakkaa vaan tulee nyt vaan vähän pienentymään. Akustisten rumpujen tilalle tulee sähkörummut (Millenium MPS-850 E-Drum Set) joista itse henk. koht. kyllä pidän enemmän ja sitten kun jossain vaiheessa on varaa niin vaihdetaan laadukkaampaan e-rumpu settiin. Kitara ja bassonauhotusten Guitar Rig 6 ja IK Multimedia Amplitube 5 sekä IK Multimedia MODO Bass. Etsinnässä vielä on kyllä jonkunlainen treenikämppä tms. jossa voisi niitä rumpuja paukutella ja tykittää kitaralla mikkien kautta nauhalle m***a se ei nyt ole tämän hetken prioriteetti. Että jos kiinnostaa elektronisen musiikin tekeminen ja sen suuntainen toiminta ja miksei sitä normaalia rokettirolliakin tai punkin lätkytystä voisi vetää täysin diginä niin tervetuloa uudelle studiolle. They say there's a time for everything. At the beginning of the year, I found out that the old Hat Factory, where both my apartment and ScumREC studio are located, might be demolished, so it was time to start looking for a new option. Now it’s 100% certain that the building will be demolished, and everything needs to be moved out by the end of 2024. After a long search, I still haven't found a suitable space to set up my studio. At the same time, I’ve been feverishly looking for just a place to live because I don’t want to end up homeless either. Now I’ve found a middle-ground option. There’s a nice apartment downtown where I can at least continue some level of ScumREC activity since the apartment is above a bar/nightclub, and apparently, there’s only a law firm and some office in the stairwell. Also, when I mentioned my needs in the rental application, it was fine with the landlord. In a regular apartment building, I would definitely have passive-aggressive notes in my mailbox after the first month due to music production.
So the studio won’t stop, but it will just shrink a bit. Instead of acoustic drums, I'll be using electric drums (Millenium MPS-850 E-Drum Set), which I personally prefer, and at some point, I’ll upgrade to a higher quality e-drum set when I can afford it. For guitar and bass recordings, I'll be using Guitar Rig 6 and IK Multimedia Amplitube 5, as well as IK Multimedia MODO Bass. I’m still searching for some kind of rehearsal space or something where I could play real drums and blast the guitar through mics, but that’s not a priority right now. So if you're interested in making electronic music or anything in that direction, and why not even regular rock ‘n roll or punk, which can totally be done digitally, you’re welcome at the new studio. - Miro Scum

Ikäviä uutisia. Varmistui nyt että studio lähtee alta tämän vuoden lopussa eli talo puretaan ja tilalle kerrostalo kuten yleensä täällä Seinäjoella tehdään😥 m***a en lannistu asiasta vaan aion etsiä uudet tilat samasta kaupungista ja ihan vielä keskustasta. Muutamia potentiaalisia paikkoja olen jo tsekkaillut ja onhan tässä aikaa vaikka kuinka 🙂 Oli kyllä huippu mesta ja kerrankin huippu vuokranantaja. RIP ScumRec. Kauppakatu 25, 2022-2024.
