The Estonian rising star renews his contract with Prodiscus.

Roland Kõur is the second professional player to extend his contract with the Finnish disc manufacturer for the 2025 season. This new two-year agreement makes him the second player to sign the newly introduced pro player contract, first unveiled on the Prodiscus Podcast late last year.

Last year, Roland made a significant impact on the European disc golf scene, securing several DGPT top-10 finishes, featuring on video cards, and delivering hot rounds across Europe. At Prodiscus, we — along with the entire Team Prodiscus family — are excited to see just how high this talented young player can soar.

Aapo Karhi made Finnish disc golf history at the Prodigy Pro Tour event 2024 by throwing the highest-rated disc golf round ever by a Finn. The round rating soared to astonishing 1102!

Not only did Aapo throw a wonderful round, but by doing that he managed to take the event victory from the third card – a unique feat on it’s own merit, and probably a first one of it’s kind as well.

To celebrate this accomplishment we wanted to make a disc to Aapo. The chosen disc is the one he relied and used most during that round. That disc is Jokeri.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE EUROPEAN TALENTS 🔦

On the banks of the Emajõgi river in the eastern Estonia, lies the historic city of Tartu. Throughout it’s nearly 1000 yearlong history, Estonia’s 2nd largest city has been an important place in many historical and cultural aspects.
Not only is it home to several important cultural Estonian institutions, it’s also the home of some of Europe’s brightest disc golf talents.

At just 17 years old, Roland Kõur has taken big strides in his disc golf career with 4 Top10 DGPT Europe finishes.
The Prodiscus-sponsored Estonian started playing in 2016 at his home course Tartu Tähtvere on the outskirts of Tartu and since joining the PDGA in 2018 he has continued to develop his skills on the course. By the end of 2023, Roland finally reached the 1000 ratings milestone, and his impressive results this year, means that his rating has now reached 1023.

Pretty impressive indeed!

Aapo Karhi made Finnish disc golf history on last weekend at the Prodigy Pro Tour event by throwing the highest-rated disc golf round ever by a Finn. The round rating soared to astonishing 1102!

Not only did Aapo throw a wonderful round, but by doing that he managed to take the event victory from the third card - a unique feat on it's own merit, and probably a first one of it's kind as well.

By taking the PDPT event victory at Kuopio, Aapo strengthened his standings in the overall PDPT standings, and has a good chance of winning the whole Tour. The Tour finale is held at Jyvaskyla on the upcoming weekend.

Congratulations Aapo on the astonishing feats on the course, and good luck on the PDPT finale!

European Open 2024 - What a spectacle once again!
Over 5000 live spectators watched this showdown on the final day at the Nokia. The Beast and the Monster, top players from the world, epic audience, finnish summer. What a combination!

Aapo Karhi entered the final day from the chase card, and had the wonderful opportunity to really fully experience the magic of playing in front of the "The Beast Gallery!" Aapo told us, that this experience was something that he will never forget! 🔥 Aapo's event rating was 1028 🎯

Roland completes this great weekend with a tied 42 place. ✌ Roland was close to make it above cashline (top40) but fell a little short this time. But making the final round on a major is a great achievement! Roland's event rating was 1017.

Finnish Nationals was played last weekend on Sipoo, Finland. Finland's top players played four days, one round per day, to find out this years champions. The course, Sibbe, was a beautiful yet fierce stage, where players had to use all of their skills and maintain focus all the way to the end.

Team Prodiscus had many players on the field, and here is the top 25 finishes from FPO and MPO.

DGPT - Swedish Open

Roland Kõur had a succesfull weekend at the Sweden. On the first round Roland tied the hot round which but him on the lead card for the second round! Roland played three great rounds above his rating and placed seventh on an elite series competition. That is a great achievement and important experience! 🔥💪
