Hi all the listeners of Algorytmi Radio!

I’ve now decided to put the podcast aside for a little while to fully focus on my own music and my future gigs abroad.

During the last couple of years I’ve been busier than ever with my music and DJ comissions. Due to these reasons I need to priorize my time and energy because I can’t put as much time and effort into Algorytmi as I feel like it really deserves. This podcast is something where I want to put my 100%. At the moment it’s just not possible when I run everything by myself.

The podcast will go on a hiatus atleast for this year and will come back eventually with a reinforced team who can help me to take the podcast to a next level.

Aleksi Myllykoski is a well respected DJ, audio artist, producer and a live act from Helsinki, Finland. Aleksi is the founder of Signature Dark, a label focused on the more melancholic and darker shades of Ambient, Drone and Experimental Electronic Music with additional Dark Jazz. He is also part of the legendary Finnish Electronic Music group, RinneRadio.

Aleksi is delivering an hour and half-ish of Dark Ambient, Drone, Dubstep, Jungle etc, showing his versatility and uncompromising, ''art forward'' -attitude as a DJ and artist.

Besides podcast being the current format, Algorytmi Radio will also evolve into an Electronic Music blog, a platform for Techno and Experimental Electronic Music enthusiasts. We are celebrating our 1 year of existence with the 10th episode by Unclear, a hypnotic Techno producer and DJ from Bari, Italy! 🥳

Unclear is the 1/3 of the hypnotic techno collective The Alchemical Theory and the label head of the Techno label Cultural Corner.

He discovered his passion for music when he was a young boy and began attending some clubs in his area.
His passion for the music growing up day by day, watching his favorite artists mix with 2/4 turntables simultaneously and, by then, he started experimenting his own first personal technique and discovering the world of vinyl. His style is deeply inspired by techno music and all his hypnotic facets.

On the 8th episode we have Einox, young and talented artist from Seoul.

Despite his young age, Einox has respectively released music on various labels, such as Affin, Circular Limited, Subosc, Artscope and Lett Records.

With his highly detailed and textured soundscapes, Einox is drawing an abstract tonal image, which is almost not quite from this particular plane. He is one of those few artists that have a very distinctive and unmistakable sound, leaving your synapses fully discharged.

New Latmos EP ’Plural Lifeforms’ is coming out soon on the brilliant label Subosc.

"Plural Lifeforms" puts emphasis on equality and human rights recurring to an evolving groove and a heavy action of bleepy and hypnotic elements.

In "Genom", liquid synths and ethereal elements are interleaved with a ritualistic high-decay kickdrum blended with a reverberated ambiance.

"Sinking" presents a more detailed ambient texture and fast-paced rhythmic patterns. Sharp reverberated hi-hats create expansive and hallucinatory effects in the background.

"Algorytmi" reworks the vibe of the EP implementing a basic structure that makes the track playable in different contexts.

Overall, a very interesting EP for the lovers of classy techno. Don't miss it!

We are privileged to introduce our 6th guest of 'Modulator' guest mix series: Orion

Orion is probably one of the busiest DJs in Finland. He is best known in his home land from his weekly electronic music show, aired on Friday nights, on the national radio YleX. His musical diversity and mixing skills makes him one of the most relevant DJs in Finland. He States that even though he cherishes various genres of electronic music, Techno has a special place in his heart.

Behind the decks Orion is truly in his element. The interaction with the crowd shows how he appreciates every moment of it. Serving a potent concoction of Techno and Electro, Orion is taking the stage with a lunging attitude, but still with a smile on his face.

As a producer Orion keeps things restrained, but still very functional as you can hear from his latest EP 'Moat', released on his label Absence of Facts

That is very little on the global scale but it is lot more than I ever expected.

Lots of interesting stuff happening this summer:
Many interesting guestmixes are coming up from Finnish artists but also from abroad aswell. I'm also having a few studio guests with me on the 'Operator' series. There will be also a 'Midsummer special' episode with the duration atlest twice the length of a regular episode.
