A rare Marshall JCM800, Model 1987, from the year 1987 just arrived to the studio, to be a part of our amp collection.

It met it's companion cab, JCM800 Lead-1960, from the same year, with original t-75 speakers and they sound absolutely brilliant together!

The Model 1987 is a 50-watt 4-channel beast, not to be confused with the models 2204 or 2205 master volume 50-watters. This is a totally different sounding amp, even though they're all from the same JCM 800 series.

1987, what a great year for rock! 🤘🏻

Has anyone else been confused with the numbering systems of Marshall?

We built a really cool studio for Neural DSP !

Designed by Matias Kupiainen , , , built by us , Elmo Syrjäläinen along with INITrm.

It's been a busy few months building this thing! It's a room within a room design, isolated from outside noises and acoustically treated for intense studio work. Steven Ward is going to get a nice new YT office from this!

The first measurements were really promising. Now waiting for the desk to arrive to get the final results and then some audio and light gear in!

Producing and engineering some lush and epic clean tones for . This one has some serious parallel action happening. Tremoverb Dual Recto on ultra clean settings and Mark IIC+ running a tiny bit of edge. Before that there’s Focusrite ISA as a preamp, eq and parallel compression. Then running in parallel ts808 to valve diode saturation and to the final compression with Distressor before the amps. All effects are also in parallel: Sony V-77 analog chorus with Fairchild type varimu compression, PCM70 shorter modulated hall and H3000 8sec epic hall.
