Rotulama uses artistic methods to revitalize independent shops around the world, helping them to thrive.

Ferment Radio is in Taiwan!

Aga Pokrywka and the team visited Master tea-maker Liu in Beipu,Taiwan.
Master Liu gave us a tour around his farm and showed us the fascinating process of making Suan Guan Cha, a traditional Hakka fermented Citrus tea.

Everyday is a holiday!
Today is Puzzle day -the perfect time to turn off your electronic devices and enjoy the challenge and sheer joy of playing with a brain-teaser in an old school, analog way!

Super Eclectic developed a jigsaw puzzle out of electronic waste as part of Golden Trash Future Past, a project in which we recycle electronic waste to reflect on value, aging technology, and the human side of industrial recycling.
This e-waste puzzle was part of an immersive exhibition at .

What’s the most challenging puzzle you’ve ever completed?

We noticed an issue using an AI-powered tool to enhance the audio of , our podcast on fermentation and the world of microbes.
The application struggled to improve the recordings from people speaking English with a non-native accent, making them sound metallic, choppy, and distorted. On the other hand, the recordings from native English speakers sounded great. We stopped using this AI tool for the post-production of Ferment Radio, but the problem’s still there. Does AI discriminate?

AI can reflect and perpetuate human biases and inequalities within a society. For example, AI image-generators tend to visualize different cultures through a stereotypical view of the world, imposing uniformity and killing diversity.

A true wonder of what the internet can be: a free, open, and independent collection of knowledge, is written by people from all around the world, in hundreds of languages.
There are many ways to celebrate Wikipedia day.
One way is to become a Wikipedian, a volunteer that edits an existing article or creates a new one.
Another way is to donate to the Wikimedia foundation. Did you know that Wikipedia relies entirely on donations?

We’re excited to start off the new year with a new website for Rotulama, an initiative by Super Eclectic that revitalizes the visual identity of small and independent shops, enabling them to thrive.

Every day is a holiday!

Today we celebrate the Winter Solstice in the northern hemisphere. That means that one of the Earth's poles has reached its maximum tilt away from the Sun, which happens twice a year, once in each hemisphere. It´s the shortest day of the year and the beginning of the winter.
How are we going to celebrate it?
With Tangyuan, a dish served during the Dongzhi Festival, in Taiwan. This celebration is rooted in the ancient yin and yang philosophy of balance and harmony in the universe. From this day on, we will have longer daylight hours, and therefore, more positive energy will grow.
By the way, Super Eclectic will go back to Taipei next year to work collaboratively with on a new iteration of , an initiative that engages with small and independent shops to counteract gentrification. Stay tuned!
