We do creative industry Documentary Commercial Program and database Building ATG is a nonprofit organization established in Ethiopia and Somalia in 2010, founded by Ibrahim Mohamed Ibrahim. The purpose of the organization is to create new perspectives on important social issues and give voice to groups and individuals whose perspectives are ignored by mainstream media
. ATG produces and distributes award winning documentaries/researches and Movies based on the reality to community organizations, and public in general throughout the Somalia and the world. These films and researches have won numerous awards, including an Academy Award and have been screened at IMDp (The Internet Movie Database (abbreviated IMDb) which is an online database of information related to films, television programs and video games, they in additionally rate programs ). The subjects include: Conducting researches and translating outcomes in to tangible results through making films on it. We believe in making documentaries and researches that foster discussion and the exchange of ideas among viewers. We are convinced that this is how people integrate the ideas they are seeing and hearing into action. They bring what is important to them to the ideas in a film and that powerful synergy motivates activism. That is why we provide discussion and conduct researches, so that anyone committed to the subjects can lead a productive session after the screening. That is also why we try (and it is a struggle) to keep our films short and based on the research we did in past. Community activists and educators tell us that often they only have an hour or an hour and a half to view a film. We think that the most important role a research can play in social change is to provoke (arouse) critical thinking and discussion. All of our investigations are produced directly for community and educational audiences. They are made for television and then recycled into the educational market. Therefore we depend on the society as the primary users to have our works. Since we joined this stream of work we effectively produced number of programs including, Movies, researches, Trainings, social awareness programs, and we closely worked with the Government of Somaliland to help it make people aware all important awareness schemes. Ibrahim Mohamed Ibrahim is the Executive – Director, writer, producer, Editor. He is an independent documentary film producer/ researcher and director. His documentary films Defending Our Lives, won the Academy Awards for being socially active member. Throughout his career he has combined his social activism with documentary filmmaking and investigations. He began by producing a weekly public affairs program for television in Local, focusing on areas that are important to be publicly out spoken, so that the government and economically stable people, who can do something about it. He has also an effective leadership and organizational skills in which he handles all the work being done in the organization, be it is a research in a defined category or translating it into a movie. I am passionate about being an innovative in Technology and presenting to my community such an amazing technology that would bring real change in the way of living . this is what I am passionate about because my country does not have that much advanced technology level which I am passionate about.
