The Present of Spanish Design is a curated editorial guide conceived as a high-impact catalogue showcasing the most representative pieces of Spanish industrial design for the habitat sector from the past three years. Created and manufactured by leading Spanish companies and industrial designers, the project is published by & with the aim of strengthening the international visibility of Spanish industrial design through a publication that serves both as a showcase and a statement of identity.
Featuring contributions from 69 companies, the guide offers a refined selection of furniture, lighting, and rug designs by Spanish designers — all recognized for their creativity, technical excellence, and commitment to quality. Aimed at an international professional audience, the publication highlights the most relevant trends in the sector.
The editorial concept plays on the dual meaning of the word present: as a gift — an offering of design, history, and talent — and as the current moment, reflecting the present state of Spanish design. A moment marked by creative maturity, where tradition and innovation intertwine to give rise to meaningful, emotionally resonant, and sustainable proposals.
The publication includes a foreword by and features internationally awarded pieces, many of them created by designers or companies that have received Spain’s National Design Award.
