This year Ca'n Beneït & will open continuously from the 30th of January 2025 to the 5th of January 2026 for a different kind of hospitality

Ever since we first opened four years ago it has been our commitment and personal obsession to create a product that remains attractive enough in every season so that we can open as many months as possible, and we can proudly say there has not been a single month ever since that we haven't open at least for a few days

Much has been discussed about the current situation of tourism in Mallorca, but today more than ever we are extremely proud of what we do, and of what our team has accomplished

And while we understand and acknowledge that our activity has an impact, we are lucky enough to be located in a timeless magical place, that allows us to mitigate it by opening our gates as long as possible, so that the vast majority of our staff is employed full time the whole year

We believe there is another way of doing things and at the end of the day it is only up to us to promote a sensitive kind of tourism that blends with our culture, is curious about our traditions, enjoys delicate local cuisine and respects the nature that surrounds us

Wintertime Mallorca. A visual love letter to this island by

Four years ago we took over Ca'n Beneït with more passion than resources. The world was slowly awaking from a pandemic and tourism was still in a difficult position. It was a lifetime opporunity for us to create something we believed in, but at the same time an incredible challenge

Busy as we were setting up this place to the standards that we wanted, we just didn't have the time, the energy or the means to create visual content. Little did we know that creating our own brand identity would become such a crucial part of our project

Then one day soon after we first opened, Christian checked in at Ca'n Beneït, falling in love with the place and making us a priceless gift: of very first cool pictures. Still to this day we are thankful for that gesture and still today we love having him back, along with the pictures that he takes

Coincidentally, he took the opening shot of these series of an anonimous passing-by model by the poster shop in Palma, which we do love and wholeheartedly recommend

Depicted in these photographs are daily life scenes from the island and its dwellers during wintertime. A time of deep blues and quietness, a moment of downtimes and renewals

Ca'n Beneït closes on the 10th of January for a short holiday break and we opening back on the 30th of January for the 2025 season

A year of warm & honest hospitality ❤️ a season focusing on your wellbeing only

2024 has been a wonderful year at Ca'n Beneït, with our beloved team members delivering amazing on a daily basis and with customer satisfaction at very high levels

This has been a season in which we have expanded our culinary offer with new spaces and activities, an elevated proposal, reinvented menus and overall better service. We can't wait to be adding new charcoal oven based dishes soon thanks to our recently upgraded kitchen

A fully renovated Panorama Suite was an important milestone to our room portfolio and it has been a favourite among our guests

Wellbeing has been a key factor to the guest experience as well, with new Spa treatments by Joana. We also went full in with our complimentary experience offer welcoming Sintje five days a week, three mornings for yoga and two for forest walks

On the media front, we have welcomed different photographers and continued creating thousands of pictures & videos showcasing the work of our colleagues and the beauty of this island

For 2025 we hope to keep improving our service while remaining on the same path of dedication & commitment to quality so that your time with us stays truly memorable

Centuries old heritage, 135 years of modernity and a vision for the future

Back in 1890 the once mighty Spanish Empire was about to be dissolved into irrelevance, swiped away by progress and unable to cope with that brave new world

It was a time of rapid change, when the sleepy island of Mallorca was fast developing its industry, and commerce could profit by a recently built rail network that connected Palma and its port to its nearby towns, allowing them to export agricultural products and textiles to the world

Even in the little hamlet of Binibona those who believed in technology and progress were keen to adopt a modern mindset and a new way of doing things

That was the time when our olive press was mechanized and when the main building of the Estate was built, a white house of sorts standing proud over the valley and the hills

Ca'n Beneït sits in a centuries old Estate, yet much like the rest of Mallorca it always struggled to balance the need to preserve its heritage with the firm will not to remain stuck in the past

And while not all progress has always been good on this island, and not allways were its dwellers that well versed in bourgeoisie refinement from overseas, there has usually been a pragmatic and optimistic vision of life ingrained to the Mallorcan people that still to this day leaves a marks on how we are. Because only by embracing the future can one move with the times

In the most quiet days of the year, when the winter sun shines bright and serenity reigns over the Estate, we firmly prepare for what's to come, not by remaining fearful of the future, but by shaping it to our needs so that it is more human, more approachable and more inviting

We are now in the process of finalizing yet another transformation in the very same house that was built at the turn of the century, when a shift of priorities left room to new ideas and new hopes

It will be a very subtle change, but one that will certainly allow us to continue deliver amazing. You will be able to taste it real soon and, just like a kind of magic, you will hopefully not even notice it

Of endless greenery and bright wintery hues 🌿

Wintertime on the island is all about relaxed rythms and shorter days filled with deep colours and that unmistakable bright yellow light

It's a time to be enjoyed slowly, when one can do things that are just not possible is busier times of the year

We are closed for a few weeks until the 20th of December, yet making steady progress in the meantime updating the hotel to get ready for next year, taking long walks by the beach and enjoying the company of the cats

Also if you are a travel agent or industry professional you'll find us in Canne's ILTM Travel Expo from the 3rd to the 5th of December

You & me. The mountains and the shelter. The scents of the valley & the ruggedness of it all

In these last days of the season you can enjoy the great outdoors during the day and retreat indoors during the night, by the fireplace of Mirabona restaurant or in the cosiness of your room

Throughout the mild Mallorcan winter most days are pleasant enough to go for a hike in the mountains, enjoy the surrounding green fields on a bicycle or just tour the island for some magic vistas an a more relaxed vibe

It's the last weekend of the season and we're in for a lavish grand finale at 24°C ☀️

After a few days of welcomed rain, that has beautifully irrigated our mountains and our lands in nice and slowly manner, we are back on track for some autumn sunshine

On framing beauty 📸

It takes more than a good camera for a perfect picture and it takes more than a good photographer for a priceless shot

It takes passion and patience, it takes inspiration and will, it takes dragging yourself to the ground trying to capture a perfect angle and more often than not it takes doing some squats to catch that evanescent glimpse of light

It takes crashing a drone to make an appealing little video, it takes repeating every scene until you have the perfect cut. It takes endless lonely days to edit content and it takes hours getting to those places where the problems of the world seem far behind

It takes inner happiness to make other people shine on their portraits, and it takes courage to be looked at. It takes years of hard work to gain that extra little confidence and it takes practice and failure for finally creating some art

Soft autumn mood & a necessary time for reflection

This is the time of the year when things really do slow down on the island, and while it's not even really cold yet, the vibe starts shifting into a sort of winter mode, with a serene sense of calm that soothes the soul

And as we all prepare for winter and for the new challenges ahead, we look back in a formal act of introspection to see what we can do better, and how we can improve

Listening to our guests and team is perhaps the most important exercise that we can ever do and it always comes natural for us to put a greater focus on it at this time of the year

An ode to slow Mediterranean mornings ☀️ a moment for you only

If there is a distinctive Mallorcan tradition that's relatively unkwon to those who visit us, that would be the mid morning breakfast, which is usually celebrated between 10h and 11h and acts as a break from morning duties and strangely enough it is a time meet colleagues, friends or acquaintances
and share some laughs with them

It is an informal meal, where the cafes in the quaint plazas of our little towns come to life in a gleeful manner, when events and politics are discussed with passion yet respect, when people gather around for little talk and where business deals are closed

Such is the importance of those little happy encounters for Mallorcans that bespoke and iconic dishes are served only during that time frame, like the variats and the full array of bread & charcuterie based delicacies

One such treat is the llonguet, an inner soft and outter hard large bun originally invented in Palma and miraculously not yet exported to the rest of the world. It is served hot, with a tomatoe spread and soaked in olive oil, that can be combined with multiple variations

As displayed in the first picture, our favourite one would be the llonguet with chese omelette 👌Pro tip, you can also enhance it with a few slices of Iberian ham to let it definitely make your day

At Ca'n Beneït we adhere to this Mediterranean tradition of slow pleasures by providing a full served breakfast, where we take every item straight to your table so that you can relax while enjoying the moment and the views

Also our breakfast times are extended from 8 to 11h, and you can of course just linger in the terrace afterwards if you so desire

Last but not least, please note that we use locally sourced free range chicken eggs from of Búger
