Dear Soller Friends

Wednesday 19th March 2025 and its cloudy

The nineteenth edition of the Orange Fair will be held in Sóller the weekend of 5th and 6th April 2025. The orange menus will be in participating restaurants between 27th March 2025 and 13th April 2025. The full programme is not out yet, but the dates are set and ready for your diary. This is a weekend to look forward to as all things citric are celebrated. We look forward to the decorations of the fountain and the happy bunting. April will be a busy month as it includes 100% booking over Easter this year.

The TIB buses have announced that the 204 buses between Palma and the Port of Soller will have a new timetable on 1st April 2025. The 231 service between the Port of Soller and Alcudia will also start on 1st April 2025.
Unfortunately we have learnt there will be no increases in buses on these services. This is disappointing and means summer buses will continue to be chaotic.

Parts of Spain have been experiencing persistently rainy weather since early March. There were isolated episodes of flooding earlier this month in the Valencia region, where residents are still recovering from the historic flash floods of late October. On Sunday in the Port of Soller there is day of activities planned to help the Valencia relief effort. This is the second tine the event has been planned as last time it was ‘rained off’. In Mallorca we have received rain to help our reservoirs, but not to the extent other parts of the country have.
