very friendly Robert, and enjoys great views of the Marina Golf course, and the tennis courts at Sama Sports Centre, and they show all the major football matches. You can dine in or take away their excellent Spanish cuisine at very reasonable prices. Discounts for golfers too. Opening times are: 0900-1700 weekdays; all day at weekends. You'll find them at: Urbanización Marina de la Torre, Avenida del Mar 3B, Mojácar Playa. The next edition of the Ultimate Magazine will cover December and January. In this edition, we will be advertising opening days & times of those bars and restaurants that will be open during this period. The cost of a small advert for this is just 25€, unless you already advertise in the Ultimate Magazine, in which case this service is FREE.

With the new Covid restrictions in place which force restaurants/bars to shut at 2230 till 9th November, some restaurants are showing initiative and are now opening early for breakfast instead, for example, HOLA OLA Mojacar . You can now enjoy lots of tasty breakfast options, including a full English from 0900 every day! And if you want just a few quick authentic Spanish tapas during the day, this is just the place! Oh and a beautiful uninterrupted sea view😍 Felipe and Raúl will give you a warm welcome!

As you are all acutely aware, we are living in very strange and difficult times! And these times are very hard for any business in the hospitality sector. At this time of year, some bars and restaurants locally historically close for the season anyway, but unfortunately there are many more who are having to close either permanently, or because they cannot afford to stay open until the Covid situation abates, and visitors can return.

A leading representative industry body, Juntos con la Hostelería, estimates that around 56,000 establishments (18.2% of the total number) have already closed down this year due to Covid, and this number could rise to 125,000 given the latest developments.

This impacts us as customers as we'll have fewer bars and restaurants to go to, but more importantly a significant proportion of the Spanish workforce will lose their jobs. Around 1.7 million work in the hospitality sector - that means many very sadly are already out of work given the number of establishments that have already closed!!

Whilst many people are nervous about going out, there are many restaurants and bars doing a take away service, so please support them however you can. Restauranteurs/Bar/Hotel Owners, we value you and we sincerely hope you weather the storm!!

Our Mojácar restaurant guide and website www.ultimaterestaurantguide.com, includes 58 establishments in and around Mojácar, and we are relieved to say that, currently, as far as we know, none have had to close permanently. There are a number that have closed for the season or due to Covid, but intend to open when times are better.

Where known, we will provide information on this page and our website of those establishments who have made changes to their services eg change of opening times/days beyond the government restrictions limiting opening times, those who have special offers on, and those that are now closed. Buen provecho everyone and Viva España, the restaurants, hotels and bars!!

Our recent Ultimate Restaurant Guide Mojácar Prize Draw winners, Gwen & Billy Boyd chose to go to Restaurante La Paratá to redeem their 50€ voucher. Gwen later commented “We had a fabulous time, the food was amazing. We will be returning...“ Thanks to Richard & Louisa, the owners of La Paratá for looking after them! 😊😍

¡Qué rico! Delish! If you're looking for somewhere special, this one fits the bill! El sitio, restaurante-vinoteca" Mojácar Playa
Beautiful food & setting! A hidden gem! A bottle of Almerían rosé wine, gambones (giant prawns) to share; main courses: confit duck/magret duck with select veg. Desserts were: chocolate tart and Tarte Tatin for dessert! Plus gorgeous artisan bread and olives/little onions as a freebie starter! All for under 70€ for 2!

Yesterday evening, we asked Luigi at Cheers to draw out a numbered ball to determine the winner of our Ultimate Prize Draw, the prize being 50€ to spend in any restaurant featured in our 2020 Mojácar Ultimate Restaurant Guide. All 48 entrants were allocated a number (see attached file), and nos 1-48 were then written on a golf ball. Watch the video to hear the winner's name.
