⭐️ Student Spotlight 🎤

Chris has undoubtedly been one of our busiest students this year! He joined City Vocal Coach at the beginning of the year and has been taking weekly singing lessons while also completing all of our Songwriting Courses with Sam. On top of that, he performed at our Showcase and became a member of the City Vocal Coach Choir.

This year, Chris has also been determined to take the leap into performing. After attending numerous open mic nights in the second half of the year, he finally did his very first gig just two weeks ago!

Chris, the entire City Vocal Coach team couldn’t be more proud of you. Through all the ups and downs, you’ve stayed committed to your journey of growing as a songwriter, singer, and musician. Let’s hear it for Chris! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

⌛ Le temps leur est compté car dès demain le duo se transformera en quatuor que vous aurez la chance de pouvoir venir écouter jeudi 05/12 à 18h pour leur sortie de résidence !

Ik ben introvert, maar dat kwartje viel bij mij heel laat.

Ik heb een heel groot deel van mijn leven gedacht dat ik 'raar' was. Dat er iets met me aan de hand was. Waarom waren sociale dingen voor mij vaak zo vermoeiend? Waarom trok ik mij het liefst alleen terug op mijn kamer? Waarom kreeg ik spontaan jeuk als mensen begonnen over het weer? Waarom had ik zo'n hekel aan onverwachte telefoontjes?

Toen ik een podcast over introvert zijn luisterde, vielen alle puzzelstukjes in elkaar.

Ik ben introvert.

Dat betekent dat ik oplaad als ik alleen ben en het me energie kost om live met mensen om te gaan. Let op, dit is wat anders dan dat ik mensen niet leuk vind. Het kost me gewoon meer moeite.

Andere kenmerken:

- ik ben niet van de koetjes en kalfjes
- ik ben snel overprikkeld
- ik vind het heerlijk om alleen te zijn
- ik heb altijd even verwerkingstijd nodig om te reageren op wat een ander zegt.
- ik communiceer het liefst schriftelijk (zie punt hiervoor ;-)).
- ik vind het heerlijk om helemaal op te gaan in mijn werk.

Het werk als voice-over past daarom ook heel goed bij mij.

Ik werk veel alleen, de communicatie verloopt grotendeels schriftelijk, ik kan helemaal opgaan in een klus en geniet ervan om me te verdiepen in alle onderwerpen die voorbij komen.

Of ik voor .nl geinterviewd wilde worden over mijn verhaal als ondernemer en artiest. Ja dat wilde ik zeker! Mooi stukje geworden over mijn leven als voice-over, muzikant en studio eigenaar.
