We create character focused, narrative driven documentaries about contemporary social issues. Through our films we hope to raise the sound of unheard voices and shed a light on unseen faces. We also run the INto INdustry Programme. Through this unique programme we give young, creative individuals a combination of rigorous training and professional filmmaking opportunities, and help them become film industry professionals in their own right.

To continue our appreciation of the OTOXO Community we want to highlight the work of OTOXANs working with some of the biggest names in media and broadcasting.

Sam Jenkins worked as an editor with on their new doc ‘BUY NOW: The Shopping Conspiracy’ for Netflix.  Leanne Hayman was producer on Tagged for BBC3 and is now producer on the BBC 1 special - Idris Elba: A Year of Knife Crime.

While Emily Badescu has joined The Guardian as a video editor following her time at Vice. The feature doc she edited straight after her time with OTOXO, will now have a UK cinema release, and was Mark Kermode’s Film of the Week.

As we move into 2025 we want give a shout out to some of the ongoing achievements of the OTOXO community.

To start off we wanted to talk about someone many of you already know - Cianna Canning, who we’re delighted to say has accepted the role of being our first ever OTOXO Ambassador.

In her role Cianna will be involved in all sorts of OTOXO projects and events. She will be a representative at festivals, she’ll be a consultant and associate producer on our 2025 feature and short docs, she’ll be developing OTOXO’s relationship with Sheffield DocFest, and connecting our student and graduate communities, work that she has already begun outstandingly by hosting the OTOXO secret screening and party at the Curzon Cinema, Hoxton in London!

It’s been six months since our World Premiere in Barcelona at and we are now very excited to be bringing Unbound to the UK!

Tomorrow we will be gathering at to celebrate the film’s success!

Our UK Premiere will then be screened at on the 2nd November! Stay tuned for info on tickets 👀

The day has finally arrived! Unbound will have its world premiere on Sat 4th of May, 17.30h, in Cines Renoir Floridablanca.

The story of Lisa, Stanka, Chase, Reo and Ballet de Barcelona, and their fight to resist ballet world abuse, to disrupt an industry, reclaim the stage, and create beautiful liberated dance.

Co-created by an incredible group of filmmakers through the Into Industry Programme.

Today marks the beginning of Film Festival and our very own OTOXO graduate has made the official selection with his short documentary, ‘Skate Spectrum’! Not only Selected for Best Documentary but also Nominated for Best International Film! We wanted to congratulate Dries for his hard work and dedication. Well done Dries - we look forward to seeing the results!

The awards ceremony and screening will be held this weekend at the Brighton Dome. Check out for more info - if you’re in town we encourage you to go!
