The market of Nuestra Señora de África is being modernised to be able to offer the sale of products to all citizens. To this end, the Council will launch, starting this February, a new mobile application (App) that will allow people to buy from Recova stalls via the Internet.
The App will be on trial for three months and at first, it will only allow purchases from a single business in the market. That is to say, if you buy from a butcher's shop, you will not be able to do so, in this first phase, from another stall.
After the testing phase, the App will be opened to the rest of the businesses so you can make purchases in more establishments in the market.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife kicks off Carnival
Friday, January 31, Paseo Teniente Francisco Grandi Giraud, in front of Plaza España in Santa Cruz will be the scene of the long-awaited opening ceremony of Carnival 2025.

The event, which will begin at 9:30 p.m. will mark the official start of the edition known as “The Secrets of Africa”. Lasting approx just over an hour, it will be broadcast live on Radio Televisión Canaria, allowing all carnival-goers to enjoy it.

Tickets, in the form of free invitations, will be handed out on the day of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis, at the entrance to the venue. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m., one hour before the start of the show.
