☝Just a month ago, the Union Musical Santa Cecilia de Villar del Arzobispo 🎶gave an extraordinary concert under the direction of Borja Martínez Alegre, a program celebrating the creative force of contemporary composers as part of the Avamus. 🔝

✨ This piece celebrates the 10-year partnership between the Marrakets comparsa from the San Blai neighborhood (Alicante) and the El Regall group from Ontinyent, acknowledging their commitment, respect, and shared passion for music and celebration.

🎼 With a style that pays homage to the maestro Amando Blanquer Ponsoda, the march takes its inspiration from the popular melody of the Ball de Belles de Alcoy, transforming it into the musical heart of the piece.

📢We present to you , one of the most prolific and renowned composers on the Valencian band scene. 🔝

📚With a degree in Composition and training in percussion, pedagogy, and conducting, he has created works for band, chamber music, and educational materials.

🎶His career is backed by numerous awards, such as First Prize in the “Villa de Benidorm” and “Francesc Cerdà” competitions, as well as special mentions and finalists in competitions throughout the country.

🎼In addition to his compositional work, Josep Ros is also actively involved as a conductor and percussionist.

➡️He currently directs the Symphonic Band of the Bonrepòs i Mirambell Musical Society and the Agrupació Escola Musical “La Nova” de l’Olleria, and has collaborated with leading groups on the Valencian scene.

👉As the author of Tot Per l’Aire, he has already published nine works - among them ARRELS, ATENEA, LA MUERTE ROJA, SEVENARE DRUMS or PISCIS - establishing himself as one of the most outstanding creative voices in the current band repertoire.

The Unión Musical La Constancia de Catral, under the direction of Diego Carrillo Soler, gave a magnificent performance of ARRELS (suite from the ballet), by composer Ximo Tarín-Micó. A work that connects tradition and emotion, and which in the hands of this ensemble came alive once again with extraordinary sensitivity.
