Longyou Caves, Longyou China. Discovered in 1994 filled with water at the time was assumed just a pond. Once drained revealed an amazing underground labyrinth. Entirely unknown when and who carved them, we see similarities to modern day roadheader tunneling equipment.

Vettuvan Koil Temple, Kalugumalai South India. Here is a structure rarely spoken of. Much like the the Kailasa Temple found in the Ellora Cave complex, however only 1/4 the size. This temple sits alone in the hillside, carved from solid bedrock many years ago. It is highly debated exactly when. Considered to be unfinished, this temple somewhat exposes the process used in creating this type of structure and its astonishing art work. We see similar stone cutting scars on unfinished, discarded or destroyed megalithic complexes all over the world.

The Temple of Jupiter and it's surrounding structures. 400-800 ton limestone blocks forming a platform that pre-dates the Roman Empire. It is unknown how and when these stones were cut and moved into place.

Pancha Rathas, located off the Bay of Bengal in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. These 5 monuments each carved from a single granite boulder, are thought to have been constructed around 630CE by King Narasimhavarman with primitive tools of the time. Though sometimes mistakenly referred to as temples, the structures were never consecrated because they were never completed. The names of these buildings are considered to be a misrepresentation because the structures have no link to the iconic characters of the Mahabharata epic.

The Colossi of Memnon, west of Luxor, Egypt. Each statue originally carved from a single piece of Quartzite stone. Standing 60ft tall and weighing 720 tons each. Thought to have been constructed by Pharaoh Amenhotep III, however it can not be explained how the stones were moved over 400 miles from the place of quarry to where they have stood for thousands of years.

The Serapeum of Sakkara, discovered by Auguste Mariette in 1850 at the Necropolis near Cairo, Egypt. Buried more than 30ft under the desert sand found were (24) 100 ton black granite boxes, top and bottom cut from a single stone. Each box placed in a side pocket nitch barely enough room for the box itself to fit, all in a long hallway of an underground tunnel. Presumed to be tombs by Egyptian experts, the boxes are another clear example of advanced precision stone cutting . These boxes seem to be the same construction as the so called sarcophagus found in the Kings Chamber located at the center of the Great Pyramid of Giza. It remains unknown the precise time of construction and is debated by archeologists around the world.

Naqsh-e-Rustam, Persepolis, Iran. These tombs were looted around the time of 400BCE by the armies of Alexander the Great. However, it is uncertain when the cliffs were actually carved. Again, we see evidence of advanced technology in stone cutting.

Osireion in Abydos, Egypt. Discovered in the early 1900's buried more than 30ft under the sands of Egypt. The enormity of this stonework is not easily understood without a closer look. The true age of this structure is argued by experts and very commonly floods with water from somewhere underneath.

The Barabar Caves located in the Jehanabad District of Bihar, India. These are the oldest surviving rock cut caves in India. Most caves at Barabar consist of two chambers, carved entirely out of granite, with a highly polished internal surface. Thought to have been carved around 300BCE, but again the perfection of the cuts and angles are not typical of the time.

Masuda Rock, located near the top of a hill in Asuka, Japan. How or why this colossal stone and others in the area were carved remains a mystery. Weighing an estimated 800 tons, 34ft long, 24ft wide and nearly 14ft in height, Masuda Rock appears to be a completely different style of cutting than the later Buddhist sculptures. Ironically, the Longyou Caves discovered in China in only 1992 show the same type of cutting technique as the Unfinished Obelisk located in the Aswan Quarry in Egypt. Neither of which anybody is sure how, who or when these cuts were executed. Coincidence?

Osireion, Egypt. Complex found buried under the sand in the early part of the 20th Century. Perfection in stone cutting from ancient times nobody knows for sure how and when.

It is said now that the Sphinx enclosure shows evidence of water erosion that could only have occurred more than 9,000 years ago. This dates the monument back to a time before the Egyptian Dynasty's existance. Combined with the discovery of Gobekli Tepe, it all but proves that the history of man is far different than what we have previously believed. There may be a lot more truth to Plato's claims of Atlantis after all.
