تم اشهار جمعية تنمية جنوب مصر في فبراير 2002 تحت رقم 644 وهي جمعية مركزية تعمل على نطاق جمهورية مصر العربية مركزها الرئيسي يقع في 31 ش هلالي ، المنشية بمحافظة قنا وللجمعية فرع بالجيزة بشارع الهرم وفرع بالاقصر بشارع المحطة وتهدف إلى رفع المستوى الاقتصادي والثقافي والصحي والاجتماعي والسياسي للمجتمع وتدعيم الجمعيات الأخري فنيا عن طريق التدريب وخدمة المجتمع. الجمعية
لديها نظم مالية وادارية تنظم عمل الجمعية. يعمل بالجمعية 72 موظف وموظفة طوال الوقت و73 موظف جزء من الوقت و150 متطوع. عدد اعضاء مجلس الادارة 5 وعدد اعضاء الجمعية العمومية 45 عضو.

نحن جمعية تنمية جنوب مصر بقنا (جمعية مركزية) بما لدينا من خبرات و مهارات نسعي الي ان نكون بيت خبرة في دعم و تمكين المرأة و الطفل في صعيد مصر للوصول و التمتع بحياة افضل دون تمييز بهدف تغيير ثقافي مجتمعي ايجابي من خلال احداث تنمية غير تقليدية في كافة المجالات الصحية و الثقافية و الاجتماعية و الاقتصادية .

مشروعات الجمعية :
مشروعات سابقة:
1-مشروع حماية الأطفال المعرضون للخطر بالتعاون مع هيئة كاريتاس مصر.
المشروع ممول من هيئة كريتاس مصر ، بدأ المشروع في اغسطس 2005 حيث يقوم المشروع بجمع الاطفال المعرضون للخطر وهم الاطفال المتسربين من التعليم والاطفال العاملين لاعادتهم الى المدرسة مرة اخرى بعد تأهيلهم بمركز الاستقبال النهاري بالجمعية اما الذين لا يمكن اعادتهم لظروفهم الاقتصادية فيتم تدريبهم في مراكز التدريب المهني لتعليمهم حرفة مناسبة إضافة الى ذلك تقديم مجموعة متكاملة من الخدمات الفنية والثقافية والتعليمية تشمل محو الأمية وتعديل السلوك وتوعية صحية وثقافية ودينية ورحلات ترفيهية وتثقيفية الى معبد دندرة والى مركز سوزان مبارك وتدريبهم على الرسم والموسيقى والاغاني . يشمل المشروع ندوات تثقيفية لأسر الاطفال حتى يدركوا أهمية تعليم اطفالهم الذين يجب ان يعيشوا طفولتهم. ندوات لأصحاب الورش لحسن معاملة الاطفال العاملين وتدريبهم واعطائهم الفرصة للإلتحاق بفصول محو الامية. يشمل المشروع ندوات وانشطة بالمدارس بقنا للتوعية باتفاقية حقوق الطفل.
2-مشروع تنمية المشاركة السياسية للمرأة بمركز قنا بدعم من السفارة الكندية بالقاهرة.
بدأ المشروع في مايو 2007 ولمدة سنة واحدة وتم تنفيذه في مدينة قنا واربع قرى هي دندرة وأولاد عمرو والجبلاو والجزيرية.
النتائج والمؤشرات
-2240 سيدة لديها معرفة بأهمية المشاركة السياسية وكيفية استخراج الأوراق الرسمية.
-1120 سيدة قامت باستخراج البطاقة الانتخابية للإدلاء بصوتها في أول انتخابات.
-3 سيدات يقمن بتقديم أوراقهن للترشيح لعضوية مجلس الشعب أو الشورى.
-وجود 30 سيدة يقمن بالتثقيف السياسي في المجتمع
3-مشروع مواصلات صديقة للبيئة بدعم من مرفق البيئة العالمي
الهدف العام:
تقليل نسبة التلوث الهوائي الناتج عن استخدام وسائل المواصلات الملوثة للبيئة بقري محافظة قنا.
الأهداف المرحلية:
رفع الوعي البيئي والصحي من مخاطر تلوث الهواء الناتج عن استخام وسائل المواصلات الملوثة للبيئة وأثرها على صحة الانسان لعدد 400 فرد خلال 12 شهر.
استخدام عدد 400 فرد لوسائل المواصلات المحافظة على البيئة (200 من أصل القرض و200 من خلال تدوير القروض).
تفعيل الشراكة بين الوحدات المحلية والمجتمع المدني لتبنى القضية والعمل على تحقيق الأهداف.
4- مشروع وصول المرأة الى خدمات الصحة الانجابية بقنا بدعم من السفارة الاسترالية بالقاهرة ، بدأ المشروع في اكتوبر 2012 ولمدة سنة.
اهداف المشروع
الهدف الاول:
رفع الوعي الصحي لعدد 116500 سيدة في قرى محافظة قنا عن أهمية متابعة الحمل والولادة في الوحدات الصحية من قبل الأطباء بدلا من استخدام القابلة في المنزل.
الهدف الثاني:
رفع الوعي الاجتماعي لعدد 4500 رجل في قرى محافظة قنا للسماح لزوجاتهم لمتابعة الحمل والولادة في الوحدات الصحية من قبل الأطباء بدلا من استخدام القابلة في المنزل.
مشروعات حالية:
1-مشروع نجدة الطفل (الخط الساخن) بالتعاون مع المجلس القومي للطفولة والامومة
حيث يتلقى المشروع البلاغات من المجلس القومي للطفولة والامومة عن الاطفال الذين لديهم مشكلات ثم يتوجه العاملون بالمشروع لعمل بحث اجتماعي للطفل وايداعه مركز الاستقبال بالجمعية حتى يتم حل مشكلته.
2-مشروع مكافحة امراض العيون بدعم من السفارة اليابانية بالقاهرة.
المشروع ممول من السفارة اليابانية بالقاهرة ، بدأ المشروع عمله في نوفمبر 2005 والمشروع عبارة عن مجموعة متكاملة من الاجهزة الطبية للرمد أو امراض العيون وذلك للقيام بحملات طبية لتوعية الجمهور بكيفية حماية ووقاية العيون من الامراض ثم الكشف على المرضى نظير مقابل مادي رمزي يضمن جدية المتقدم وكذلك استمرار المشروع. يوجد بالجمعية عيادة طبية مرخصة تشمل تخصصات رمد وباطنه وحميات واطفال. نتائج المشروع هي مساعدة عدد 4200 مريض رمد بمحافظة قنا سنويا.
3- مشروع تنمية المشاركة السياسية للمرأة بمحافظة قنا بدعم من الوكالة الامريكية للتنمية الدولية بالقاهرة.
بدأ المشروع في يوليو 2007 ولمدة 3 سنوات وتم تجديده لعام 2014 وتعتمد استراتيجية العمل في المشروع على التغطية الجغرافية لعدد أربع مراكز متقاربة هي قنا وقفط ونقادة وقوص والوصول الى الفئات المستهدفة والاستمرار في تناول القضية بعد انتهاء التمويل من خلال العمل مع جمعيات أهلية غير حكومية لها مصداقية لتنفيذ انشطة المشروع عن طريق توقيع بروتوكولات تعاون مع الجمعيات الشريكة وذلك بعد تدريبها, و الاعتماد على المثقفين والمثقفات السياسيات بعد تدريبهم وإعدادهم.
النتائج المتوقعة ومؤشرات القياس:
نتائج الهدف العام:
زيادة نسبة المشاركة السياسية للمرأة كناخبة (من 4% الى 10%) و مرشحة (من صفر الى 10 سيدات) في محافظة قنا وارتفاع نسبة المعلومات السياسية لدي السيدات في محافظة قنا.
نتائج الهدف الاول:
1- ارتفاع وعي عدد 241580 فرد من المجتمع ( رجل وامرأة ) بأهمية مشاركة المرأة سياسيا كمرشحة وناخبة في محافظة قنا.
2- مشاركة عدد 2500 سيدة بفاعلية في الأنشطة السياسية بمحافظة قنا عن طريق استخراج الاوراق اللازمة للمشاركة السياسية.
نتائج الهدف الثاني:
-عشر سيدات يرشحن انفسهن لعضوية النقابات أو الجمعيات الاهلية أو المجالس المحلية أو المجالس الشعبية مجلس الشعب أو الشورى.
نتائج الهدف الثالث:
1- 8 جمعيات أهلية لديها برنامج لتنمية المشاركة السياسية للمرأة وتشارك في القضية.
2- الهيئة العامة لمحو الأمية وتعليم الكبار لديها منهج للتثقيف السياسي تستخدمه في فصول محو الأمية.
نتائج الهدف الرابع:
1- زيادة عدد البرامج الاذاعية والتلفزيونية المحلية الموجهة للمشاركة السياسية للمرأة.
2- زيادة عدد المقالات الصحفية الموجهة للمشاركة السياسية للمرأة في الصحف المحلية.
4-مشروع تمكين الاسرة المصرية بالتعاون مع المجلس القومي للسكان
المشروع بدأ في ابريل 2012 ولمدة ثلاث سنوات ويتم تنفيذه في 8 قرى بمركزي قنا وقفط لمناهضة مظاهر العنف ضد المرأة خاصة ختان الاناث وعد الصحة الانجابية للمرأة وتحسين الظروف المعيشية في القرى الثمانية.
5-مشروع تشغيل الفتيات فى مبادرات العناية بصحة الأم والطفل بنقادة والممول من الصندوق الاجتماعي للتنمية.
بدأ المشروع في اكتوبر 2013 ويستمر لمدة عامين
إيجاد فرص عمل لعدد 66 فتاة في برامج التوعية والزيارات المنزلية للمساهمة في زيادة فرص الحصول على خدمات رعاية الأمومة والطفولة و ذلك للارتقاء بصحة الأم والطفل في المجتمعات المستهدفة.
أهداف المشروع
1. توفير فرص عمل للفتيات/السيدات بالمناطق الفقيرة والمستهدفة.
2. تحسين الوصول إلى خدمات الرعاية الصحية الأساسية للأم والطفل .
3. رفع الوعي الصحي للمجتمعات المستهدفة في مجال صحة الأم والطفل.
4. الارتقاء بالخصائص السكانية بالمناطق المستهدفة (الصحة – التعليم – فرص العمل).
6-مركز تدريب الجمعيات الاهلية.
الجمعية لديها مركز تدريب يقوم بتدريب اعضاء مجالس وموظفي الجمعيات الاهلية على الموضوعات التنموية.
7-مشروع التوعية بانتخابات مجلس الشعب والممول من المنظمة الدولية للنظم الانتخابية (ايفس)
الهدف: هو نشر الوعي الخاص بانتخابات مجلس الشعب القادمة لزيادة مشاركة المواطنين.
وذلك عن طريق تنظيم عدد 80 ندوة توعية سياسية خاصة بحقوق وواجبات المواطنين في التصويت في انتخابات مجلس الشعب القادمة، حيث يتم تنفيذ 20 ندوة في كل محافظة من المحافظات الاربع المستهدفة وهي اسوان والاقصر وقنا وسوهاج.
8-مشروع خلق فرص عمل للمرأة بمحافظة قنا بتمويل من البنك الدولي ومؤسسة ساويرس للتنمية.
المشروع عبارة عن تقديم مشروعات ريفية منتاهية الصغر لعدد 100 سيدة من اصل المنحة و42 سيدة من قيمة المتحصلاتمن الايجار التمويلي ، تشمل بطارية تربية ارانب وبها ذكر وانثتين وهي من المشروعات التي يسهل ادارتها وتسويق منتاجاتها بالقرية وخارج القرية نظرا للاقبال الشديد على هذه المنتجات ولتوافر الاعلاف بالقرية من المخلفات الزاعية، تخطط الجمعية لتوسيع نطاق عملها من خلال الايجار التمويلي للمشروع والتي يتم جمعها للعمل في مراكز اخرى بمحافظة قنا ثم التوسع للعمل في محافظات اخرى حيث ان الجمعية تعمل على مستوى الجمهورية
9-مراقبة الانتخابات حيث قامت الجمعية بالجهود الذاتية بتدريب الشباب على كيفية مراقبة الانتخابات وبالفعل تم مراقبة الانتخابات البرلمانية الماضية الشورى في يونية 2010 والشعب في نوفمبر 2010. ثم مراقبة انتخابات مجلس الشعب نوفمبر 2011 عن طريق 400 مراقب متطوع في قنا والاقصر.
10-مثلت الجمعية مصر في العديد من المؤتمرات الدولية الخاصة بمناهضة العنف ضد المرأة وعرض تجاربها الناجحة في التوعية والتمكين السياسي للمرأة في تونس والمغرب ودبي وكندا وفرنسا حيث تم عرض الكتب التي اصدرتها الجمعية وهي كتاب محو الامية السياسية ودليل المثقفات السياسيات وكتاب محو امية الصحة الانجابية ودليل المثقفات الصحيات.

Who we are? It is a central organization which can work all over Egypt, main office is located at Qena city, Qena governorate and has another two offices one at Giza and the other is at Luxor. It has a financial and Admin systems that organize all the association activities. BODs members have unique developmental and admin experience as the chairman is a journalist and worked in social work for ten years. SEDAQ has 72 fulltime qualified staff and 73 part time employees in addition to 150 registered volunteers. SEDAQ vision:

Previous projects:
1-Protecting children at risk project with cooperation from Caritas Egypt. On August 2005, SEDAQ collaborated with Caritas Egypt to implement child protection project. The project is targeting children on a critical situations such as dropped out children from education and working children in order to reenroll them back to education. Others who can’t go back to schools for bad economical situations, the project enrolls them with handcraft training centers. In addition, the project is providing cultural, educational, and artistry services such as literacy classes; health, cultural, religious awareness messages; entertainment and cultural trips to Dandara temple and Qena center; and train them on music and drawing. The project includes also awareness seminars for different leagues; children’s families to understand the importance of education; workshop owners to behave well with working children and give them the chance to enroll literacy classes; and schools to raise their awareness on child rights convention.
2-Developing the political participation of women at Qena district that funded by the Canadian Embassy. On May 2007 we started the project of developing the political participation of women at Qena district. The project is funded by the Canadian Embassy at Cairo. Five employees are working in the project that implemented in five villages in Qena district. Expected Results & Measurement Indicators
-Issuing the ID cards and birth certificates for 1000 women.
-2240 women have political information about elections and how to issue official documents
-1120 women issue election cards.
-3 women submit their applications to be candidates for people assembly or Shoura Council.
-30 women making political awareness in the community.
3- Women access to reproductive health services at Qena villages project that funded by Australian Embassy from Oct. 2012 to Sept. 2013. Objective one:
-Raise reproductive health awareness of 116,500 women in villages of Qena governorate with the importance of follow up pregnancy and make delivery in health units by doctors instead of using midwife at home. Objective two:
-Raise the social awareness of 4500 men in villages of Qena governorate to permit their wives to follow up pregnancy and make delivery in health units by doctors instead of using midwife at home.
4-Transportation friend to environment project that funded by UNDP. We aware community with the importance of keeping environment clean and the useful of using bikes instead of vehicles. We implemented 12 seminars and offer 200 bikes to people and got back the bikes cost on installments. Running projects:
1-Resisting eye diseases at Qena governorate that funded by The Japanese Embassy. On November 2005, SEDAQ started eye diseases prevention and control project that funded by Japanese Embassy in Cairo. The project include a comprehensive medical equipments for eye diseases treatment and the conduction of medical campaigns to disseminate awareness messages on eye diseases prevention and provide medical care with small fees for project sustainability. It has also a registered clinic for the treatment of eye diseases, internal medicine, fever, and pediatric clinic. The project outcomes are:
-Checking and awareness for 4800 eye patients yearly in Qena villages.
2- Developing the political participation of women at Qena governorate that funded by the USAID. On July 2007 we started the project of developing the political participation of women at Qena governorate. The project is funded by the USAID. Eleven employees and 40 political educators are working in the project that implemented in four districts Qeft, Naqada, Qous and Qena. Now we are replicating the project in another 5 districts, the project started in Dec. 2012 and will be finished in June 2014. Expected Results
End Result
Increased level of awareness about the importance of accelerated political participation among women as voters (from 4 percent to 10 percent) and as candidates (from nil to 10 women) in Qena, coupled with increased levels of political knowledge and information among women in Qena. Objective I- Intermediate Results
- Increased awareness among 241,580 community individuals (men and women) about the importance of accelerated political participation among women, as voters and candidates in Qena Governorate, and,
- 2,500 women enabled and actively engaged in political activities in Qena. Objective II- Intermediate Results
- 10 women running for the elections in trade unions, CDAs/ NGOs, local or popular council, People's Assembly, or Shura Council. Objective III- Intermediate Results
- 15 CDAs with an effective plan and program for the acceleration of political participation among women, and,
- An integrated civics education and literacy instructional materials used in AEA-supported literacy classes. Objective IV- Intermediate Results
- Increased number of women-focused radio and TV programs for the acceleration of political participation among women; and,
- Increased number of press articles featured in the local newspapers on the acceleration of political participation among women.
3-Training center for NGOs. We have training center that offer training courses for NGOs staff and board of director in the developmental issues.
4-Hot line of rescuing children at risk that funded by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM). SEDAQ receive notification from NCCM about a child at risk at Qena governorate or Luxor and we make visit site and solve the problem of the child using SEDAQ capabilities and other agencies support.
5-Women reproductive health project at Naqada district. The project is funded by Social Fund for Development (SFD) and started in Oct. 2013 for two years. It train and employee 60 health educators in five villages at Naqada district of Qena governorate, Egypt to make home visits to aware women with the importance of visiting health units to follow up pregnancy and make delivery in health unit. They provide women with important information about dangerous signs during pregnancy and during and after delivery, feeding pregnant and caring baby, breast feeding and vaccinations. The 60 health educators make 600 home visits to aware 3000 women monthly.
6-Creating job opportunities for women at Qena project that funded by World Bank. It started in Nov. 2013 for one year and will continue working. The project aims to provide 140 poor women projects for raising rabbits and support them with technical assistance regarding breeding new kinds of rabbits and marketing them.
7-Empowering the Egyptian family and fighting against FGM project which concerning supporting families and resisting violence against women especially female ge***al mutilation in eight villages at Qena governorate. The project is funded by The National Council for Population. It started in April 2012 to 2015.
8-Aware community in four governorates with People Assembly election project that funded by IFES (International Foundation for Electoral Systems)
Goal:Spread the public understanding of the PA elections and encourage citizens’ participation. Objective: Increase awareness among 125,000 community members, especially marginalized members: women, handicapped, illiterate and youth, regarding the people’s assembly election, concepts of democracy and electoral rights & duties in the four targeted governorates in Upper Egypt within 1-2monthsin 2013.The objective will be met through the implementation of one political awareness and education campaign that will be held before the people’s assembly election in 2013 & 2014. The awareness campaign will be conducted by organizing and facilitating 80 awareness-raising public forums in 4 target governorates (20 forums per each governorate; 20% of the forums for handicapped, 40% for women groups and 40% for youth and men groups). Each forum will be attended by 50 participants, with a total of 4000 participants in general. Each forum will be a one-day event.
9-Depending on volunteers we monitored elections such as Shora Council election in June 2010 and People assembly election in Nov. 2010. This project is a voluntary project depending on youth volunteers and monitor elections at Qena governorate.
