Golden Tongues and Gilded Fake Nails discovered in Egyptian Tombs

A joint Egyptian-Spanish archaeological mission has discovered 13 ancient mummies with golden tongues and gilded nails at Ptolemaic-period tombs in Al-Bahnasa, Minya. These remarkable finds provide a glimpse into the city's rich history and culture.

Dr. Salima Ikram, a renowned Egyptologist, and the author of several books on Egyptian archaeology, described the discovery as intriguing, noting the high number of gold tongues. She speculates that these individuals may have belonged to high-ranking elites connected to the area's temple and animal cults.

What other mysteries could these gilded remains reveal?
