introduces a poignant song in the realm of indie music, blending influences from math rock, shoegaze, emo and post-rock. FHMY, delves into the depths of his personal experiences and traumas, inspired by bands like Swans, Slint, American Football and Have a Nice Life, crafting a narrative that explores themes of abandonment, male isolation, avoidance, and negligence.
Infusing his work with a unique blend of nostalgia and innovation, FHMY incorporates elements from his childhood and adolescence. His compositions feature evocative samples from anime, gaming, and old movies and books that have left a lasting imprint on his soul. 🎸🎧
This project stands as FHMY’s personal endeavor to create music that people will remember him by, while sharing common experiences only shared by our everlasting humanity within us.
FHMY is currently working on his debut album, The World You Grew Up in Does Not Exist Anymore (unannounced), to be released Q1 2025 with us at Memphis Records, which will explore further deeper his personal experiences, realizations and personal struggles with social isolation. 🗓️💿
Some of our favorite tunes by FHMY are: Egyptian Football, memoriesyouwillneverfeelagain, Cherry Oh Cherry, and my blue heaven (latest release) which is a joint composition between FHMY & , 2 suburban music friends from Maadi and Haram . Their bond deepened further as they battled societal dynamics, relationship changes, childhood traumas, loss of family and friends, as well as negligence overall.
