Airborn project was formed in spring 2011 between two Estonian trance producers Andrew Firssov (as alias Tetrazone) and Simon Gurei (as alias Simon G). In December of 2012 Andrew used to leave the project, thus Simon Gurei remained as the only member taking the Airborn as a single artist alias. First big goal had been reached in 2014 on biggest trance DJ Armin Van Buuren’s regular show "A State Of
Trance" episode 651 with the track "AirBURN (ReOrder 138 Edit)" announced as Tune of The Week. In June 2014 had started its own trance & progressive podcast named Into The Sky. At present project Airborn has a regular support on A State of Trance, Future Sound of Egypt, DJ Global Broadcast, Find Your Harmony, Trancemission, Universal Nation, and many others. Starting from Year 2015 Airborn is in frequent collaboration with Romanian producers Bogdan Vix & Claudiu Adam (formerly KeyPlayer) after successful release “Kaleidoscope” in 2016 (ASOT Future Favorite, Tune of the Year 2016 #80, ASOT 2016 Yearmix). The most known and top-rated track up to date is a collaboration between Airborn, Bogdan Vix, KeyPlayer feat. Alexandra Badoi – “Run Away” released in 2019 on Armind Recordings (Armada Music) and had reached ASOT TOP1000 #272 place in 2021. Biggest event performed up to date – Untold Festival, Trance stage (2018; 2019). Primary purpose is to bring a beauty and power in one piece combined and blended with different styles of trance and other electronic music genres, something diverse and irregular. Secondary purpose is more quality than quantity. "Each track is like an emotional puzzle piece, a part of a future picture. If it is not kept in your mind and doesn't catch you up or touch your feelings, it must be deleted. That is my principle in creating playlist for the sets and all of my tracks as well." Simon Gurei
