Lumenier QAV-S 2 JohnnyFPV Build...... done 🔥🤙
I'm using the Johnny FPV 2307's, Axis Flying Argus Pro 55a F7 Stack, TBS Crossfire, a FlyfishRC nanoGPS unit on the arm (to accomodate rear camera mount) a self-powered buzzer up front, and I did mount my capacitor underneath the bottom plate to save space, but it's safe and cozy in a niche behind the arms...
Still playing with tune and props, but so far this thing flies like a beast!

✅ X-lock system is clever & changing arms is fast
✅ Rear assembly has 5 different plates, rear-cam mount, and tilts!
✅ XT60 on rear assembly frees up battery space
✅ Aluminum DJI O3 bracket is good for cooling and cable management
✅ Front DJI O3 mount allows cam to move forward and backward
✅ Premium materials - carbon, aluminum & molded plastic
⚠️ A little hard to install GoPro mounts
⚠️ I would have liked a more generous hardware kit... pre thread-locked hardware would be nice, m2.5 8mm screws may not be long enough..

Overall I absolutely love this frame, the quality and innovation makes this one of the best frames on the market at any price point...

My take on the Pavo25 V2:
✅ 1506 4200 kv motors = more power to carry a GoPro
✅ Functional ducts = more efficiency + longer flights
✅ F722 V2 AIO + 35a ESC = 6s ready 💪
❌ No easy access to sd card or usb (fix = usb extension)
❌ Difficult to balance COG w/ GoPro

My Moz7 just got a Lumenier AXII Duality upgrade🤘
These new Duality antennas should improve the range I'm getting with my Moz7 since it ships with LHCP antennas yet I'm using Integra goggles which have linear antennas... these Duality antennas are linear & designed for the O3 so I should get waaaaay better range. I'll test this weekend and report back!
p.s. - Moz7 has a super specific antenna mount and I had to print up an adapter to install my shiny new antenna, but the Duality will fit into any mount designed for an 03/Vista antenna!

Got my hands on some Nav long-range packs 😎👌🔥
Just came in yesterday and I'll test them this weekend and report back with flight times so keep in touch.

Here are my mid-range & long-range setups:
- 6000mah 6s on GEPRC Moz7 (2x 3000mah)*
- 3000mah 6s on GEPRC Croc5
- 3000mah 4s on GEPRC Croc4

*For 7inch, I prefer to run 2x 3000mah packs over 1 x 6000mah pack on 7" because it allows me to run the same packs on 5inch, and they are air travel friendly (packs over 100WH cannot travel without special permission from airline).

With prudent charge/discharge levels, I'm planning on 18min+ on Moz7, 12min+ on Croc5 and 15min+ on Croc4.

What do you think am I way off on those flight times? 🤔

Analog FPV is dead ⚰️ Or is it?? 🧟 🤔
GepRC just brought analog FPV back to life with the Maten Pro, a 5.8GHz VTX capable of outputting a whopping 2.5W of power 😲 The problem with high-power VTX's is heat... some VTX's will overheat and reduce output power to prevent damage, but GepRC designed the Maten Pro with a premium CNC shell with heatsinks and added active cooling (a fan) which allows it to transmit that high-power signal in a more stable manner, without overheating and dropping power. Got my hands on the new RS3 racing motors from EMAX USA 🔥

RS3's come in 2207/2306, 1800kv, 2100kv, and 2400kv. EMax says the 2100kv is rated for 6s, making those an insane option for those who want max 🚀 over flight times.

I went for 2306, 1800kv because I’m after range and flight times for the Chimera5 build I'm planning and thse RS3's are super lightweight and efficient for the thrust - racing motors like RS3's are a great option for long-range/cruiser FPV build because they are light and efficient with a titanium shaft, yet they have the thrust to carry those heavy li-ion batteries and cameras 🤙

Anyone else running GoPro Bones on a 2.5 whoop?
It's a tad heavy, but does fly great if you can get COG sorted, and it isn't easy to get the battery back far enough to offset the weight upfront... gonna have to work out a new battery strap. I usually fly 650mah with this quad, but ironically I found it flew better with the 850mah, because the extra weight in the caboose was necessary to balance COG. After a little tuning it actually flies pretty well!

My build & review of the Moz7 - the latest 7.5 long-range quad from GEPRC It's beautifully designed, it flies super smooth, and with the right batteries you can get up to 30 minutes of flight time!

I built mine up using EMAX USA Eco II 2807 1300kv motors, which I chose to strike a balance between power & efficiency, as these 2807's are much lighter than GepRC's 2809's...

I also included a chapter on how I setup and use GPS in my drone - Yes, I have lost long-range drone before 😭... but never again since now I log GPS telemetry data in my radio in two different ways✌️😀
