The older tracks will always feel more authentic if you ask me, the tracks are alot more dynamic and thus allows the elements of a track to breath as opposed to today's music which is all about the loudness war. Many tracks today don't have much dynamics and you actually will likely have your demo rejected if it doesn't sit with the current trend in loudness. That doesnt mean to say there arent benifits to todays mixing + mastering techniques as tracks are evidently cleaner, Can we turn back time ? 😆🤣
