Our Story
Kairi FM commenced broadcasting on November 14 1994 on Old Street in the capital city of Roseau Dominica on the two frequencies of 107.9 and 93.1. Fast forward to three years later, the station relocated to a larger structure in the city, as the original building could no longer contain the rapidly-evolving organisation. The media house was operated by shareholders from 1994 to 2000. In 2001, the main shareholder and current owner, former US police officer and current businessman Frankie Bellot bought over the entire company and moved it to his personal property on Independence Street, from which location the business operated on the assigned frequencies of 107.9, 93.1, 91.1 and 88.7 FM.
Kairi FM has since bought over the Caribbean Harmony radio station formerly owned by Lionel Ellis and has been operating in St Lucia since then as Kairi FM St Lucia, broadcasting on assigned frequency 107.1, 107.9 and now 93.1 FM. The Kairi Radio Station provides island-wide coverage and also transmits to the other neighboring islands, namely Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Antigua, and St Vincent.
